1 Year After my Full Body Lipo Surgery, I Can Confidently Say That Dr. Wolf is Worthy Every Penny!
WORTH IT$10,000
After much deliberation and seeing multiple doctors in London, last year (2025) October I decided to finally commit with Dr. Wolf for a full body vaser lipo surgery. During our initial consultation Dr. Wolf was very professional, calm, understanding, and helpful to answer all my questions and suggest possible solutions to what I wanted to get out of the surgery.
At the date of the surgery I was a 27 year old female, approximately 165cm tall and 58kg heavy with no underlying lipedema or other related conditions often associated with lipo. You might say I had a healthy BMI and definitely wasn't overweight, but based on the years of effort I have spent on a seriously rigorous exercise regime and eating strict limited calories (again for years) with moderate results - likely due to my PCOS - I felt my next best option to achieve my desired leanness was to undergo vaser lipo. I want to reiterate here that I was perhaps not the usual clientele for this procedure, I was already fit and healthy, but had small stubborn fat pockets all over my body which would just not go away and which prevented me from reaching that overall lean look I was looking for.
So that's why I went with Dr. Wolf. We were targeting my arms, inner thighs, tummy, hips, waist, and bra roll, all in only one session as the amounts of fat in each region were relatively small. Dr. Wolf gave me different options and even suggested waiting with the procedure until after having children, however I wanted to go ahead with the surgery anyway, and ended up going for the full-body option including all the above mentioned areas (overall I believe Dr. Wolf drained about 2 liters of fat combined).
The day of the surgery went very smoothly (although I was a nervous wreck), they even let in my husband to the preparation room so that I could get support from him and be less nervous. Dr. Wolf drew up the areas on my body, reconfirming the areas I wanted done, then I spoke with the anaesthesiologist, said goodbye to my husband, and got wheeled into surgery.
A few hours later I woke up and was quite out of it due to the twilight sedation the team is using, plus I’m super lightweight so I think I was in a “drunk” state for far longer than normal, but the nurses were still very helpful (even gave me vegan milk with my tea!) and they let my husband come down while I was sobering up. I woke in my garments, which at that point I wasn’t that concerned about (spoiler: maybe I should have), I was just relieved that I “survived” the surgery, cause I was so scared of it beforehand. After a couple of hours I could pee, they gave me my medication, instructions, as well as Dr. Wolf’s mobile number if I had any questions during my recovery period.
My husband and I were coming from outside of London to do the surgery, so we hopped into a taxi, took a train from Waterloo, got home, ate something, and pretty much went to bed. (Obviously I am missing some details here because I can no longer remember every small thing). I leaked for the first few days, but honestly that was my last problem, as once I woke up and the strong painkillers wore off I started to realise the magnitude of the recovery. Let’s just say that the day after the surgery was a very difficult day, and I could not have battled through it (and the upcoming few weeks) without 24/7 support from my husband. I was in a lot of pain inbetween where the painkillers were wearing off, and the garments I had to wear were quite suffocating. Especially since I had multiple areas done at once, I had to wear basically a full-body compression garment, with legs, torso, and arms, all getting compressed 24/7. It was really difficult for me to pee, because I could barely move and the garment was kind of blocking the area so I ended up peeing standing up in our shower into one of those plastic filtration tubes that we had in the kitchen (similar utility as those cups at festivals for girls to pee standing up). I also had to be very careful about fainting, because I am a person who faints normally as well, so I had to move very slowly, and when taking on or off the garments I had to lay down to avoid fainting. I successfully avoided fainting throughout my entire recovery, but on the first day after surgery I was really close to it, and I just felt really really terrible. Again, the leaking was nasty, but not really a major concern, got enough pads from the surgery to deal with that. Dr. Wolf’s recovery instructions were very helpful by the way, it explained day by day the process and what is normal etc. After the first day the pain and struggle got better slowly but surely, and after one week, the worst of the actual pain was over. However, then started the frustration about the realisation that I will have to wear these compression garments for many more weeks. Getting in and out of the garments was really difficult at first and I DO NOT recommend getting multiple areas that require different garments to be done at the same time, UNLESS you have a STRONG person who is with you 24/7 and can help you whenever you need it. I also don’t recommend underestimating the time it takes to be independent again, I would not recommend getting what I got done unless you have at least 4 weeks to recover without any other responsibilities.
Another thing to mention is the lymphatic massages. They were a life saver, and the lady that I went to was a superstar (shoutout to Vicky!!) who helped me in every way possible – with the massages, mentally, and even helped me get into my garments the very first time after I took them off for the massage. With the massages I would critically highlight that you NEED to go to an accredited professional recognised by a national body. DO NOT go to the charlatans doing “Brazilian lymphatic drainage” as this is the complete opposite of what the body needs after the surgery. The massages I received were very gentle, not painful whatsoever (once I got out of my garments and laid down), and are all about gently moving fluids throughout the lymphatic system. Those tiktoks with the aggressive and painful massages that are supposedly “lymphatic drainage” are not the same whatsoever and should be avoided post-surgery, not the least because they would be incredibly painful for no reason at all.
I did the massages I think 3 times the first week, then twice then second and third week, and then one or two scattered in the next few weeks. The sooner you get the first massage post surgery the better, ask Dr. Wolf about the timings and frequency.
Overall, the recovery was much tougher than I anticipated, but this might be because A) I did a full body procedure with full-body garments, and B) because I am usually more sensitive than an average person. That being said, after the first month, it was getting much better and I was just waiting for the day when I could get rid of my stupid compression garments. One thing to add is that I followed rigorously all the things that the doctor recommended for the best recovery. I rolled with a special foam roller twice daily, and my husband massaged the areas twice daily as well for many weeks to get the best results.
Speaking of results! They are really amazing. Dr. Wolf did an incredible job removing as much fat in all the areas as possible while making me still look natural. You cannot tell I had surgery done, but I look much better and leaner than before. It all looks very cohesive and I am so so happy with how I ended up looking. I think if you are looking to become a skeleton, Dr. Wolf is probably not your doctor, but for a natural lean result, it was really on the money what the doctor did. My arms look really amazing, my tummy is excellent as well, my back around the waist is great, and the inner thighs are probably the area that changed the least, but this might be because of my personal build and/or because of how much fat I had in the area and how it was distributed. One year on, I achieved really amazing results, and I am really happy that I have gone through the struggles of the surgery. I also no longer have any fibrosis, which I did have for several months post the surgery.
If you are looking for a doctor in London to do vaser lipo, especially if your starting point and goals are similar to mine, I couldn’t recommend Dr. Wolf more as he was so helpful, competent, and available throughout the whole process!
Thanks Dr. Wolf! xoxo
