So I’ve removed the 4D vest at the 3 week mark and wearying just the compression garment for 8 hours a day. I do feel like I can move much better but I must admit I do miss the security of the 4D vest.
I’m still experiencing some discomfort and I’m sure that I’ll be told it’s normal and still very early. Most of the pain is around the hips.
My body seems to have changed so much from day 1. At times I don’t like the appearance as my torso is still discoloured from the bruising but more than that as the swelling subsides I can see the unevenness and lumps and bumps and I wonder if I will get to that really smooth stage. I have been having MLD sessions but been told I don’t need anymore as there is no water retention or swelling.
Overall I still like the shape from the Lipo but I’ve not lost any inches.

Hi where did you have you procedure done?
Dr Wolf in London.
You look really good. Sounds like it has been a painful recovery. Did you stay in hospital overnight?
I think I underestimated just how intrusive this surgery was, but that's a reflection on me and not the the surgery. The first week is definitely the hardest and I would recommend taking this time off and resting. I was back at work a few days later and I was just exhausted. Things are getting better for sure but I'm still feeling discomfort. In most cases I believe this is done as a day case, which was the same for me. I was in 9am and discharged by about 2pm.

So things are starting to feel better for sure but the pain has not gone. Most of it is in my back. I did find that when I took the compression garment off the pain eased off so much. I asked the clinic if I could have some respite from the 4D vest and garment and they advised against it, I guess no pain no gain.
Tomorrow I get I remove the compression socks which I’m so happy about.
After 3 MLD sessions my therapist has said I don’t need anymore however I may go in for one more. You can see she used Kinesiology Tape to reduce the swelling, this totally helped in my opinion.
My mood has been up and down over the last couple of weeks, I suspect not sleeping will play a large part in this but it’s on the up. My appetite has been bigger than normal, hoping that’s normal during recovery.
My skin is really dry near where he incisions have been made, don’t know if this is linked to the incisions or anaesthesia?

What is the 4d vest if you don't mind me asking? I have just been advised I'll have foams under my faja
Hi, I've been told to wear my 4D foam vest under my compression garment. I believe it helps keep the area flat and avoid creases in the skin but I don't think everyone is asked to wear one. You excited about your surgery?
