I firstly visited Dr Guray in February 2018 for a consultation. I had been itching to visit lovely Istanbul anyways so when I contacted Merve, his patient coordinator and she said I could see him for a free consultation on my trip I decided it was a no brainer. So off I went with my friend on ‘vacation’ for a few days. We met him at his plush office at the required time and it was a very comfortable and professional service we received. His office is situated in Besikstas (comparable to Chelsea in London. He gave me a detailed report of what to expect and showed me a million variations of implants. After the consult, Merve gave me a quote and quoted it was valid for 6months. Also mentioned cash was preferable to card payments as Card payment would incur an extra 10-15% surcharge. As a frugal accountant and mother of 3 kids, I immediately knew I would be bringing cash back if I decided to chose Dr guray for my treatment. Meanwhile my darling friend that kindly accompanied me for moral support got a free consultation and quote as she was thinking she might as well????. Off we went to to my next consultation! It was a very l interesting one to say the least. I won’t bore you with the small stuffs but needless to say Dr. Guray’s consultation was the only free one we had but boy did he blow me away! His bedside manner, his calmness and his professionalism was out of this world. Honestly I wasn’t going to chose him because of his ‘free consultation!! ‘ I needn’t have worried.
Back in November after various more research ( I am known as the research queen) I told my darling friend I was going forward with Dr. Guray and she said she was so excited for me and might even join me on holiday. Boy was I grateful! I desperately needed someone to look after me during recovery. I contacted Merve in November and asked for possible dates in February and she gave me some. I chose my date and booked everything. My flights and hotels with my friend!!! ????????????????I only had to pay €200 euros to secure our dates( I guess it’s cheaper because we had met them in person and knew we were serious about going ahead.
We were scheduled for next morning pickup for 6:30 am at the hotel. Dr Guray arrived about 7.30 at the hospital and I was very happy to see him again. He revisited our previous consult and explained what he’d be doing with me. I had my bloods done while my body marked up! Unfortunately my blood Result came back with 2 separate anomalies. First my blood count was low but not dangerously. Secondly my blood has serious issue that I could have. (DVT/ blood clot) which he thought might be from previous days flight. Honestly I was so relieved when he told me he might have to postpone or cancel completely after arranging an ultrasound. Relieved because I knew he wasn’t money hungry at all and my welfare was his main priority!!
Needless to say, during my ultrasound I was told I had suffered a trauma to my right knee and that was why there was an anomaly in my blood tests. To tell you I was grateful and super impressed is an understatement. Not only had I been suffering a numbness in my right leg for weeks but there was a time I thought I had a stroke and the NHS back home couldn’t ‘find anything wrong’????
Anyway I had my surgery and was in theatre for about 5 hours! When I came to Dr Guray greeted me but I was so spaced out I honestly didn’t remember anything. Unfortunately for me my blood level was dangerously low ( I am a anaemic anyway) and I quite dizzy the next day, and obviously in a LOT of pain to be expected after surgery.
When Dr Revisited me the next day after surgery? His exact words were ‘ I will not discharge you until you are fully well to return to your hotel!
Instead of the 1 night I had paid for, I spent a total of 4 nights in hospital. Considering I had only paid for the 1 night, even though this is not explicitly discussed, common sense tells me this. I stayed a total of 5 days and 4 nights and I was begging to be released back to my hotel!
My results are BEAUTIFUL. Dr Guray sculpted me and my friend can already notice the big difference. This man is a perfectionist! I admire his honesty and I was also realistic about my final wishes. I discussed a BBL in my initial consultation although he did say I had more than enough fat for the transfer, he mentioned casually that without the butt implants, the fat transfer to the Butt eventually dissipates as that is the natural progression of fat transfer to an area. And since I didn’t want a case of ‘Blac Chyna’s’ infamous silicone butt implant movement, it was a NO for me.
Oh my friend that ‘accompanied ‘ me for moral support also took the plunge! She loves her result and can’t thank me enough for being the ‘instigator’???????. I am more than happy with my result d Dr Guray is honestly the best out of the 5 plastic surgeons I researched and met up with. He isn’t arrogant about what he does. He’s not a ‘product seller’ but just a passionate plastic surgeon that will give his best attention and miracle hands to any realistic patient. I am one happy bunny and I recommend him a 1000%.
P.S He never mentioned anything at all about my extra nights in hospital which would have been an extra £500!
Dr Guray thank you for giving me what I wanted. You told me to trust you. And I would do it all over again!
Thank God I don’t plan on having any more work done. I’m in my mid 40’s and I like the way I look but if anyone needs a cheaper than ‘English surgeon’ I recommend Dr Guray.
