Vaser Lipo Abdomen

UPDATED FROM LondonLady88

Before and after

Had my second MLD today. It’s so relaxing! I love the feeling of someone massaging out the pain, it’s so weird but since my lipo I hardly touch my stomach, so just having the MLD massage really feels great.

I’m still achey but that’s to be expected, it’s only been a few days.

Swollen too, but again that part of the process so I’m not alarmed. Back to normal life pretty much, running errands, doing housework etc. I definitely think it’s worth spending the extra to have Vaser in the UK. The fact that it’s a day case with minimal downtime is such a bonus! Especially for someone like me who struggles to lay around and do nothing. Being able to feel normal-ish is motivating and encouraging!

Beautiful results how do you fesl
Hi, Your results look great! As it’s been a little while since your operation I’m wondering if you’re pleased with the final results? Are you able to post a before and after pic for comparison at all? If not, that’s ok:)! I’m due in with Mr Comins at the end of the month! So excited but kind of nervous too- my massage therapist is saying I need an ab/ back board:/..is this part of the garments Hans Place give to you after your op?

Thank you so much! :) x

Day 3

Had my first MLD yesterday and felt amazing after! Opted for 1.5 hours, and found it incredibly relaxing. My stomach was sensitive to touch initially, but after a while I got used to it and it felt like having a deep massage after an intense workout.

Not in any pain today, if I’m honest I haven’t needed painkillers since day 1. The itching has subsided too thankfully. I know I’m officially supposed to be resting but felt well enough to do some work on the laptop, cook and do some light cleaning. The most frustrating thing is remembering not to hunch over, and keep my back straight. Because my abdomen feels tight naturally I keep hunching my shoulders - there’s a section about that in the aftercare advice so I know it must be a common thing.

Dr Comins has called everyday to check in and give me tips and advice. He sent me an email with a great video on how to do an MLD myself at home with a body brush, so I ordered one on amazon and started doing that today. It’s super reassuring knowing that he checks in regularly and that any questions I have can be answered right away!

I’m a little more swollen today, but as I’ve read in previous reviews and as per the aftercare advice, that is expected around 4-6 days in. All in all I’m feeling good! Still not loving the binder and sleeping on my back is harder to get used to than I thought, but overall all is well!

You’re already looking great! Glad it’s going well! :D x
You look good already!

Does your MLD Therapist only offer home visits? Did she/he arrive at your home in full PPE?

Take care and God bless.
Haha awww thanks, so I had to reach out to her as the other places were closed and she only did home visits. We both discussed our isolation beforehand & I felt comfortable for us both to be without masks/gloves (she washed her hands after coming in) and naturally Made a show to fully wipe the bed before I got on. But she would have been happy to wear mask/gloves if I requested :)
Thanks for the updates. Soon to have my procedure with Mike, so it’s good to hear from and see the results of someone that’s had theirs recently. Thanks!!
What does MLD stand for and how many inches did you lose
Hey! I can help answer one of those Qs Mld is ‘manual drainage massage’ to help reduce the swelling.
Actually, MLD is Manual Lymphatic (Lymph) Drainage

Day 2

So it’s the morning of day 2. Didn’t sleep as well last night, I think it’s the combination of laying on my back and wearing the garment, I’m a side sleeper so it definitely takes some getting used to.
Had to come on and update because the ITCH! Omg I’m so itchy at my incision sites. I have tattoos so I get the correlation but my goodness it’s taking everything in me to not scratch
Have my MLD later so will update then

Hi, Thanks for the update. Hope your MLD session today goes well. Please are you also wearing a foam vest under your garment? Thanks once again and take care.
Hello! Yes I have the foam underneath too and the binder on top x
Thanks for the info. Does your abdomen look much better already in spite of the swelling?
Much better. I had a little pouch at the bottom and that's completely gone. The swelling makes my belly look swollen but not big if that makes sense! The little fat pocket has completely gone
