4 weeks post op

So I'm now 4 weeks post operation. Over the last week I have really noticed a reduction in the swelling. I have brought a gym compression vest to replace the post surgery compression garments. I know I don't have to wear anything now but where my skin is still numb in areas and not in others, having anything loose on it feels very strange and uncomfortable.
I have now gone down 8kgs since the procedure and am trying to stick to a high protein diet.
I'm still having MLD massages but only twice a week. I have another 3 booked in and then will organise some more as they do seem to help. I am also self massaging twice a day and 3 times a week using my handheld ultrasound sound massager.
The results are still coming in and I'm amazed how different I look each week.
I have been using bio oil on the scars and stretch marks but I'm not too worried about that, because once my hair fully grows back they won't be noticable.
Natasza from Top Medics has been in touch to get an update on my recovery which is a nice touch.

19 days post op

So I'm almost 3 weeks post op. The recovery has been going ok and I'm now back at work any pretty much functioning normally. Last week I experienced a couple of days where my abs were very painful (felt a bit like my abdomen had started to wake up) I ended up removing the foam but doubling up on the compression garments. The foam was just to painful and I haven't put it back on because it hurts when I've tried.
I'm still having 3 mld massages a week and I'm self massaging twice a day, once with an ultrasound massager.
The swelling comes and goes and I look best first thing in the morning. My appetite still hasn't really returned which isn't a bad thing.
I'm now able to lay on my sides for a short time and the bruises have all gone. The swelling on the back and sides seems to be there all the time and I'm looking forward to everything settling down and being able to take the compression garment off in just over a weeks time.
In term of the results, they just seem to get better and better.

7 days post op

So I returned home yesterday. I had one last massage with Lucas and then Dr Mekle removed my stitches. I then was taken back to Katowice airport by Peter.
I was allowed to remove the foam for the flight which was a relief, although the flight was pretty uncomfortable but fortunately landed early. By the time I got home I felt very swollen and had an early night.
Today I had another mld massage locally. I have bought 9 more and will see how it goes, the massage therapist didn't seem to think i would need many more than that.
I'm doing more and more each day and no longer needing paracetamol. I don't return to work until next week so have a few more days to chill out.
