5 years after Vaser-Liposuction - updates & thoughts
Hello friends,
If you are are new to my posts, please go back and read from the beginning where I outline my full journey of undertaking vaser-lipo to remove the ‘unmovable fat’ in my lower leg / calf area that has plagued me all my life. If you are thinking to undertake this procedure yourself, you may find my experience useful.
It’s been 5 years since my op, and I wanted to update you all with photos and thoughts. Firstly, I have since discovered that I have Stage 1 Lipoedema. It’s important to mention this as when I undertook the op I had no idea what this was, only that I had ‘unfairly fat lower legs immune to exercise and diet.’ aka ‘Cankles.’ At the time I was 28 years old, and now I am 33 and there have been changes.
The lipo did not ‘cure’ my Stage 1 Lipoedema, but it did remove that horrible fat that I couldn’t shift, which made my legs look like two shapeless sausages. Having Stage 1 Lipoedema means that I am subject to water retention and swelling which became worse the years after the op, likely due to age and hormonal factors (if you live in a hot country this will make it worse).
The swelling was a real killer as it felt like all the work to remove the fat in the operation was being undone. The weird thing was my legs swelled up painfully during the day, but went down again each night.
Since cutting out trigger foods such as sugar, saturates, salt, eating more vegetables and reducing my weight to as minimal as I feel comfortable, I am now in control of the swelling and feel happy about the appearance of my legs again.
I wear compression sleeves every day which work a treat! So yes, only an operation could remove the lower legs fat, and only through careful diet and habits can I stay on top of controlling the painful leg swelling.
I should mention that I am just over 5 foot 7 height, and around 63kg in weight. I never had any issue with my upper body, it was only my lower legs that have caused me pain.
I have attached photos of my legs 5 years post-op and some close-ups of scars. I hope you find them useful! You will notice when bent, one of the scars looks white and protrusive. It doesn’t bother me. Otherwise, I have ZERO regrets in undertaking vaser-lipo and am extremely grateful for the good work of Dr Wolf of Harley Street, London.
Dr Wolf, if you are reading this, I hope you can also advise your clients on Lipoedema (should you suspect they have this) so they are fully informed of their life moving forwards post-op.

1 Year post Cankle/Calf Liposuction Photos
Hi all who have followed my journey,
I'm finally posting my 1 year 'incision scars' update on my cankles (!). Overall, although you can still see some of the scars in this 'zoomed in' photo. But, in actual fact, a regular person wouldn't be able to see these unless they got real close! :)
As I've expressed in earlier postings, I am delighted with the results and would 100% recommend Dr Wolf of Harley Street, London. My calfs finally don't look like 1 big fat lump and now have definition! I feel happy wearing dresses/skirts! :D

8 months-post 'scars' update
Hi all,
Keeping you updated on my journey and progress in order to help you with your own expectations for this process :)
Here is my 8 month post Vaser Liposuction surgery scars on my lower legs / ankles. I've taken the 'worst' of the scars for these photos, when in actual fact healing is going great and there's not much more to go! The incisions on the front of my lower legs have disappeared. One of the back calf incisions shows more than the other which is almost gone (The photo I've attached is the one with more scar appearance) The ankle ones are pretty much disappearing well enough. The back of my knee is also gone :)
