No Pain, No Gain —I am now 2 years post-op and I would do it all again
ORIGINAL POST
No Pain, No Gain
WORTH IT$26,890
I’m two years post-op from a very invasive surgery - I had a full-body - arms/back / inner thigh/ankles/stomach 3d/Vaser lipo plus at fat transfer to my bottom plus a mini tummy tuck - I’ve had 2 kids and whilst I’d got my pre-baby shape/weight back I had lost some elasticity in the skin on my tummy. I’d had 2 c-sections and had a scar so dr. Frati worked with dr. Hamlet to do the tummy tuck during the same operation. I was u set for 7hrs!
Waking up from a 7hr procedure I was delirious and nauseous, dr. Hamlet was there and was amazing, I was scared & in tremendous pain, he was with his arm around me at my hospital bed reassuring me how fantastic everything had gone... His bedside manner is the best!
Ok. I need to be brutally honest. The pain was incredibly bad. There is no other way to describe it. It simply hurt like hell.
I stayed in the hospital for 2 nights with the option for a 3rd but on the 3rd day I was having my drains removed and having my first lymphatic drainage session with dr hamlet’s partner. These sessions are not included in the cost and are extra but my god they are worth it and make a massive difference to the speed of your recovery. After seeing her for my first session (by the way, pulling out the drains made me want to throw up) I felt that I could go home and glad I did.
You are bedridden. You can’t move much. You have to manage the pain constantly with pain meds. It really hurts for I’d say one week-10 days, then eases slightly but you need to be prepared to be off work for at least 2 weeks (if you are doing my combo of procedures) for a good 2 weeks you are in a lot of pain,
But that saying of “no pain, no gain” is so true, my body, albeit bloated from the operation already looked incredible, my tummy was so tight, my abs were so much more visible, I had sculpted arms! I had muscles peeking through! And my bottom. Wow... it was like a large juicy peach... I was elated...
I am now 2 years post-op and I would do it all again, my body looks incredible. Dr. Hamlet is an absolute genius and I would only ever go to him for lipo/bbl. The aftercare is incredible and the results are beyond words.
It’s very expensive and it’s very painful but if you are thinking of doing this operation then go and see him.
Dr. Frati who performed my mini tummy tuck was fine, his bedside manner and follow up, etc was far less attentive but he did a good job so I can’t complain.
All in I spent about £20,000.
