How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

My Journey - 25 Years Old Girl
Hi everyone,
I've been here on Realself, looking for reviews regarding Vaser Liposuction, for quite a long time now. It's time to write about my journey. Hopefully I can help someone relating to my problems.
I live in the UK but I'm Turkish. But I was born and have lived in Italy my whole life until a few years ago.
I am 156 cm tall and 70kg.
I've always been a small/tiny girl (around 48-50 kg) but, after getting a contraceptive pill prescription from my doctor in Italy because of hormonal imbalance (too much hair where it shouldn't be - known as hirsutism) I suffered a 20 kg weight gain on my whole body, focusing on my abdominal area. Meaning I had many fat rolls on a 156cm tall body... I looked like the Michelin guy :( Felt awful. I realised, after 3 years on pills, that I was having the worse side effect the pill could give me. So I stopped it but it was too late...
This caused a problem with my feet too: they hurt a lot when walking on them, so I can't do any cardio (altough I like to run and exercise). Got diagnosed a few months ago and I have flat feet... This RUINED me. I felt so powerless - didn't know what to do. Looked at the mirror and felt like shit. Diets didn't work. I got so emotional with food - I worsened things by eating huge amounts of junk food. Of course that did not help... but I decided to change my life:
After I moved to the UK, worked a few years and putting aside some money, I decided to go to Turkey through a Doctor my cousin knows and had my Liposuction and tummy tuck.
December 2018: I went there and had my operations.
TT was fine. No complaints. I mean, I never had a tummy tuck, so for my ignorant standards was okay. Painful but bearable. A few days later I was fine.
Liposuction was meh.. could've been better but I was still happy to see my body different. I didn't have many fat rolls. Just a few left. Although I was promised they were getting rid of them...
This doctor was through a private hospital, so I can't tag them here on RealSelf as they don't have a profile on this website.
In March 2019 I decided to have a revision, included in the first price, since they didn't remove the fat rolls as I was promised.
Can I just say it was for nothing? With due respect to the doctor, but I didn't see ANY difference. Just 4 useless incisions on my back!
I am on a permanent diet - although failing some times, I admit it, but trying to stay healthy and eat clean most of the times. So I can't blame it on my diet. Fat rolls were still there... I hated that. I hated myself. On top of that, they asked 200£ more to cover the cost of the hospital stay etc. I was promised I didn't have to spend anything more. Just plane tickets... I was furious. But then my cousin tried to sort things out for me and they agreed on refund me that part, since there was a misinterpretation on their side.
I still haven't received my refund and my cousin can't do much of course :) Funny, isn't it! I spent basically 600£ for that short stay for nothing! Could've saved that money to go to another clinic later in the year... I haven't felt this bad for a long time.
That's why I decided to go to another clinic, do my research here on Realself and correct what I think is not okay with myself.
I booked an appointment for the 12th of September, 2019, with Arif Eroglu. I am turkish so have no problems speaking to them. I saw his Instagram profile and like the results. He has only a few reviews here, but all positive.
I decided to give it a go! I can't wait for that day.
I will have Vaser Liposuction on my arms, my waist + back and my double chin.
I will update more when the time comes.
Sorry for the long rant, thought it was important to include various details. Hopefully everything will go fine :)
