Excellent Experience with Great Results So Far

After some initial research into VASER liposuction around a decade ago, I made the decision to approach The Private Clinic in January 2026. The initial communication was exceptionally clear and the process was explained to me in terms of primary consultation and my suitability for the procedure based upon my lifestyle, fitness, current health and post procedure objectives.
The patient coordinator offered a number of consultants as options for me to speak to. However, I elected to see Dr Comins based on his reviews and the fact that he has been instrumental in introducing VASER into the UK and has over two decades of experience in this approach to liposuction.
I met Mike in February 2026 and the consultation was very professional. I articulated why I wanted to consider VASER for my intended outcomes and Mike discussed what options we should consider. I have always been very fit therefore it was explained that I was a strong candidate for this procedure. I left feeling confident that this form of liposuction was correct for me and I would achieve excellent results.
I underwent the procedure on 10th March 2026 after having made the final decision in mid February. The process involved was very easy to understand in terms of the logistics involved in getting to and from the operation.
I must admit, the first two weeks post procedure was rather uncomfortable but I had been made aware that this would be the case. Despite being rather swollen throughout my abdomen, flanks and lower back, it was obvious that a considerable amount of excess fat had been successfully removed. Around 2 litres/kg in fact. On physical inspection I could already feel a distinct improvement.
I managed to find two lymphatic massage therapists who, over a four week period, provided valuable assistance to my recovery. I am now at the six/seven week stage post operation and the results are becoming more obvious, despite there remaining a degree of swelling in my lower abdomen and flanks.
Some sensitivity/numbness remains but this was expected. I have only recently removed the compression garment and am already back in the gym, albeit still at reduced intensity. My abdominal muscles are already visible to a degree, something which, in my mid 40s, I haven't seen since my early 30s! I am confident and excited about seeing the results gradually appear as the swelling subsides over the next few weeks and months.
Overall, this has been a very worthwhile procedure with, so far, excellent results. I would recommend both the procedure, Dr Comins and The Private Clinic to anyone considering it, despite the initial phase of the recovery being a little bit more challenging than I first anticipated because the results so far have impressed both myself and my friends/family.
