I wanted to add the last set of pics I will be posting. These pics reflect pre-op pics and post 2nd procedure at 6 month point. It has been a full year since my first procedure and I’m still pleased with the results. I hope my story and pictures have been helpful for you.

Dr Mike Comins- Best in field
I honestly have to say that Dr Mike Comins is amazing at what he does and is arguably the best in the field in my opinion. He is not only a surgeon but a genius in this art and a perfectionist which is evident in his work. I am extremely pleased with the results I have so far with my lipo, and I am excited to see the full results after my final procedure. The only regret I have is that I didn't have this done years ago. I have no doubts about Dr Comins’s ability and would recommend him highly to anyone that is interested in getting vaser liposuction done.
I have given a general overview of my experience so keep reading on if you are interested in finding out about my journey.
I had been thinking about doing Lipo for about a year and was doing quite a lot of research for the best surgeons & experts in the field. All my research had to lead me to Dr Mike Comins, so I booked a consultation with him, to see if I was a good candidate for the procedure and if my expectation were realistic and achievable. I should point out that there is a booking fee but you will be refunded that once you attend the consultation. The day of the consultation went smoothly it was really informative. The areas I wanted to focus the Vaser Lipo on was my upper & lower Abs and upper & lower back which he agreed. Dr Comins informed me what the cost of the surgery would be, the average recovery time..etc he was very open to my questions and heaven knows I asked quite a few questions, but he was very professional, open and honest with his answers and I left feeling well informed and at ease with no pressure to make a decision there and then.
I decided to move forward with the surgery with him and booked it for a month later. Vicky who is front of house and the Patient Coordinator was really friendly and accommodating. I was sent a bulk of information regarding what to expect from the surgery and what to do pre & post op. I was told that I would need to get a compression garment & 4D foam body vest to support my recovery, which I ordered.
The day of the surgery I was surprisingly calm. I was met by Natalia who is the nurse and we went through some formalities and some of my paperwork. I was also given a pregnancy test to ensure that I was not pregnant. I was then introduced to the anaesthetist (I decided to go under Twilight sedation, it does come at an extra cost but it was definitely worth it for me). who was bubbly and made me feel more at ease.
During the consultation stage, I was informed that it would take about 3 hours and it was likely to be done over 2 procedures, as there is a limit on how much fat can be removed in one sitting. Dr Comins assured me that he would do my upper & lower abs and my upper back and revisit my lower back another time if he was unable to do it during that procedure. This occurred so I will be going back to complete the rest at a later date.
Waking up from the procedure I felt dizzy and tired. They had bandaged me up and put my aftercare garments on me. I had my sister come and pick me up and she took care of me for the first couple days. The first night was the worse for me, I didn't sleep a wink, not due to the pain but because the garments were so uncomfortable. The day after the surgery Dr Comins called to see how I was doing which was greatly appreciated. The first couple of days were probably the most painful but the pain was less than I had anticipated. The pain level was 5-6 out of 10 for the first day or so. After that, the only pain I felt was when getting up. (that's when I realised how much we use our core stomach muscles when doing simple things like sitting up). I had 4 MLD massages for the first couple of weeks. This helped me a lot with the swelling. Luckily for me, I barely bruised after the op and I noticed a massive difference with my swelling within a month, even though full results are seen in 6 months. I've had relatively minor issues with lumps and bumps but most have gone away by themselves.
I am now almost 4 months post-op and will be having my final procedure at the 6-month point. I have posted before and after pics. The first one is one day prior to the op, the second is 24 hours later and the rest is self-explanatory.
I hope this has been helpful and I will post again once I have the final procedure and will include pics.
