Disappointing results and treatment

kween b
After a vaser lipo and subsequent touch up targeting my upper/lower abdomen, flanks, waist, lower back, I'm left with a lower stomach bulge, undefined waistline and visible flanks.

During my consultation with Dr. Comins, post touch up,, I pointed out clear issues with the touch-up, yet my concerns were met with defensiveness and dismissiveness. His lack of empathy was palpable, and I was left feeling small and inconsequential, as though my experience and the distress it caused were of little importance.

His tone made me visibly upset and distressed that I couldn't continue with the consultation. For someone who I entrusted with my money and a new phase of my life, I am left feeling significantly invalidated and unheard. Even more painful is the fact that I don't live in the UK or in Europe - I made such an investment flying in and out of the UK for such disappointing results. Money and time away from my children that I can't get back!

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I've been researching this procedure for myself and it's incredibly concerning to hear that the surgeon you trusted with your results was dismissive of your issues. The way an establishment handles post-op concerns is just as important as their surgical skill, and it’s quite disappointing that part of the experience fell short.

Have you been able to seek a second opinion? I know it’s even more complicated given that you traveled for this procedure, but maybe another professional could offer insight on potential options to improve your results. You’re definitely not alone in this, and I hope you’re able to find a way forward that makes you feel better about your body and your experience. Sending you support!

Thank you very much for your kind comments. I wouldn’t recommend this provider (Hans Place Practice) if you’re looking to have vaser lipo!

Yes I have consulted other providers on my results and unfortunately, I’m realising that I was offered a treatment that wasn’t best suited for my needs. Seeing as I invested my savings on this disappointing procedure, I don’t have the resources to have another procedure.

A caution to everyone looking to get similar procedures.
Seek multiple consultations before selecting a provider to ensure you receive a comprehensive range of options, as some recommendations may be influenced by profit-driven motives.
And you’ll end up losing on all sides.

Asking you to do what’s right!

Dr. Comins,
You present yourself as a perfectionist—someone who is deeply committed to their work and to achieving the best outcomes for their patients. That’s why I’m struggling to reconcile your ongoing insistence that you did your best for me, with the reality of what we both clearly saw during our consultation. After treating five areas, the only visible change is in my upper belly. My flanks and waistline remain entirely undefined, which is not in line with the results you specifically promised I would achieve.

This isn’t about perfection—it’s about accountability and integrity. It’s about acknowledging when a treatment hasn’t delivered what was promised, and responding with fairness and professionalism. I trusted your expertise and invested in this process in good faith, based on your personal assurances.

I’m asking that you offer a refund for the treatment areas that failed to produce the expected results. I trust you will address this matter with the integrity and professionalism I initially believed you upheld. If we cannot come to a fair resolution, I will continue to share my experience, on as many platforms as possible, so others are aware of the results and the service I received.

Please do the right thing.

Update on Dr. Comins negligence

kween b
I recently sought professional advice regarding the most effective treatment for diastasis recti from other surgeons on this site
The consensus among experts has been clear: Vaser liposuction is not the optimal solution. Instead, an abdominoplasty, possibly combined with liposuction where necessary, is widely recognized as the appropriate course of treatment.

Despite this prevailing guidance, Dr. Comins—who diagnosed me with diastasis recti—recommended and proceeded with Vaser liposuction, resulting in unsatisfactory outcomes. This raises legitimate concerns about his expertise and judgment, or whether my lack of knowledge was exploited for financial gain.

Given the disappointing results and the clear misalignment with widely accepted medical recommendations, I urge Dr. Comins to act responsibly and issue a refund in recognition of the substandard outcome. Upholding ethical medical practices and prioritizing patient well-being should always take precedence.
