Abdomen Vaser lipo surgery!

Day before abdomen vaser lipo surgery!

MJW02
WORTH IT

So it's the day before my vaser liposuction surgery and I can't work out if I am nervous or excited! It's been a long wait and have had the surgery move a couple of times due to Covid and lockdown, but the day is finally here! I feel pretty underprepared for it, but then again having not gone through cosmetic surgery before I have no idea what to expect! I've bought some puppy pads for leakage, booked a couple of MLD sessions (which goodness are expensive - would suggest factoring in another £500 minimum on top of your surgery cost for these).

I'm having lipo to my upper and lower abdomen as for as long as I can remember, it's where I've stored the most fat. I have naturally a curvy figure with a large chest but skinny legs but I find it so hard to buy me wear clothes that look right. Can't wear tight things because I hate my stomach, struggle with baggy things because they hang off my boobs like a sack! Ive lost all confidence in myself, and at 26, that's not a great feeling!

I have added some before pics that I have taken today (day before surgery) first thing in the morning. Will carry on my updates tomorrow and beyond as I know I found them super helpful! I intend to be as brutally honest as possible with the recovery process and my day to day :)

Today is the day!

So today is the day for the lipo and I’ve just woken up in the little room. I tried to write a review beforehand but didn’t manage to get round to it as it was all systems go!
I arrived at 8:30 am and then went through the usual paperwork procedures with nurse, anesthetist & an nurse and also Dr Wolf (my surgeon) himself.
I’m not going to lie I was a little nervous and it is his like a little padded room cell that you are in but everyone is super friendly and has a giggle with you to put you at ease.
After Dr Wolf marked me up, we popped down the theatre and we had some great music playing which was keeping spirits high and had lots of laughs. Cannula went in without an issue and before I knew it I was off to sleep.
Can’t remember a single thing about the procedure which is great! Woke up back in my little pod cell with only a few bits of soreness - sort of feels like a little burn you get from touching an over plate but nothing too strenuous . I am SO tired though, like all I want to do is sleep, and sleep for days! Struggling to keep my eyes open. Chaperone is on the way so shouldn’t be long till I am back home and binging Netflix in bed! Will update later this evening to eve how pain is

Me too! I've deffo gone down since the first few days but I'm being impatient and just want to be skinny now haha. The feeling of a balloon belly is becoming all too familiar! Have you started to get the lumps forming ?
December 22, 2020
No lumps so far. Do you have many?

They are starting to form that's for sure! Teeny ones on my ribs which I have massaged out but down by by hips on my pelvis seems to be pretty hard at the moment but I guess that's where swelling collects!

Day 0 - evening

Just thought I would update on how my first day / evening has been since I’ve been home.

I remember reading up a lot before hand and seeing different peoples reactions their recovery. Some were in a lot of pain and others found it a breeze. I would probably say I’m somewhere in the middle of that.

I’ve been a for a walk round the block this evening the help the swelling - one thing I will say is that the day you get back from the surgery you have so much padding on that it is super hard to undo the gusset of the garment yourself. My friend is having to do it! I’m pretty swolllen (especially down there. That’s like a big poof ) and the pain is centred towards the belly button area and just feels like pulling and twinging. Taken painkillers and it seem to have done the job. Also don’t expect to find it easy to eat in bed. Again the padding makes in so awkward - I ended up taking my food off the tray and balancing a bowl on my boobs!

And yes ... agree with what everyone else says about the leakage! I can already see some pretty dark bruising at the top and I’ve leaked a lot that some of my plasters are coming off but use period pad and puppy pads to soak up. We shall see how I manage to sleep through the night!
