Vaser Lipo - Arms and Bra Line

6 weeks post-op Vaser Lipo on arms and bra line, and I am very happy with the results so far. There is still some healing to be done, but so far I am very satisfied. The amount of bulk Dr. Truong was able to remove from my arms was great - more than I expected! And my back looks great, smooth, and feels like it healed so fast! I have had disproportionate upper arms my whole life. I couldn’t wear blazers or button-ups or anything with tight sleeves - didn’t fit! I also was embarrassed to ever wear sleeveless shirts. I finally made the leap to do this and so far I’m very glad I did. I feel comfortable wearing anything with tight sleeves or sleeveless now - and I feel like my overall appearance is slimmer and less hulking. 6 weeks (see photos): Six weeks out all of the bruising is gone. My arms still ache a bit sometimes, especially after stretching and exercise. On the back of the arms there are what feels like hard strings from elbow to armpit that feel they are pulling tight when I lift my arm - they also create dimpling in the skin (see photo). Doctor said this is normal at 1 month - 6 weeks and I can try stretching to help the scar tissue heal. I have some skin that looks a little loose at certain angles - waiting to see if it will tighten up, but it’s not very noticeable imo, and WAY worth it. Actual surgery/week of: The pain was totally manageable! The first two days I took extra strength Tylenol around the clock - every six hours - and never took the painkillers. This was my first surgery and so I was not aware the “leakage” they tell you about is straight up blood. It is messy and it gets all over the place. Don’t skimp on the pads that soak up the blood, and ace bandage wrap for extra compression. If you are traveling for your surgery try to find a surgery recovery place for the first night - it’s messy and stressful to be in a hotel! You will also 100% need someone to help you with bandages and supply runs the first day - don’t try to go it alone! But after about 48 hours I was ok to do everything on my own and work (from home) no problem (caveat being I was NOT on painkillers which can disrupt your mental facility). The pain was about a 7. It feels like you exercised way to much and have stiff muscles. I couldn’t lie on my sides because my arms hurt for about 5 days. The most annoying part is the garments and going out in public all padded up, but I’m really glad I wore them because my back is smooth with no lumps now. I wore my garments 24/7 for ~5 weeks. The lipo’d areas continue to hurt a bit when touched. I would say they were very painful when touched for about 4 weeks. And if you’re traveling don’t expect any medical exceptions from TSA. They will pat you down and it will be painful and they don’t care.
