Consultation with Dr Comins

Can't believe I finally travelled down to London and met Dr Mike Comins at his private clinic, Hans Place.

It was almost like meeting a crush hehe.

Well he was exceptionally professional, polite, understanding and honest.

Long story short, he doesn't think I'm suitable for Vaser Lipo at the moment.

After he welcomed us into his office I told him what I was after and he immediately checked my stomach back and arms.

He kindly and calmly said that my stomach hard. He estimated that 80% of my abdominal fat was hard which meant is was visceral fat (deep tissue fat around the organs).

I completely agreed as I've read up on countless information source throughout my health journey.

Sadly, visceral fat isn't the kind of fat suitable for liposuction.

He then asked me to breath in and said that the soft fat he could pinch was the other 20% of different fat under the skin (called subcutaneous fat), which is suitable for liposuction.

He said that if he did remove the 20% via Vaser Lipo I wouldn't get a remotely flat stomach because the majority of my fullness comes from the other 80%.

I wasn't surprised as I had suspected this from research but I certainly was a little disappointed.

He then moved to my skin. From my stretch marks he could see that my skin had lost some elasticity, not a lot but enough to question whether my skin would retract fully post Lipo.

After that he said that I could stand to lose another 4kg and that he was curious to see if I could achieve a slimmer contour naturally as slower weight loss would give me skin a better chance a retraction.

So he wasn't pushing for Surgery. He told me I was very close to my goal and that I'd done very well so far. He just felt that I'd better benefit from losing more weight naturally before considering surgery otherwise I really wouldn't be getting the intended results.

I'm relieved. It wasn't the response I was looking for but I was so glad that his opinion was on par with my own suspicions.

He mentioned my genes and asked if I'd had a projected stomach as a child, which i did and said that manipulating this genetic predisposition would need to be tackles in multiple ways at once.

All in all he feels that my body could improve but at this time, natural weight loss should come before the surgery.

I paid a £50 deposit for the consultation which I immediately got a refund for as expected upon my attendance.

It wasn't a wasted trip, and I still want Dr Comins to do my Surgery but for the next month I'm planning to lose 4kg and further alter my diet.

He recommended a nutritionist, which I've considered for a couple of years. He also recommended ab and core strengthening to improve my posture, as he felt my stomach may project more due to the way I carry myself.

The last point struck an immediate cord thought in my head. Large breasts play havoc with posture so I think my posture would greatly improve from a Breast Reduction which I want anyway!!

I didn't mention this to Dr Comins as his clinic don't deal with breast procedures at all. At least I have further conviction toward a bid for a smaller bust.

I'm so happy I met him. So far, I recommend him completely.

Age: 26, H: 5"1, Arms, Elbows, Back, Love Handles, Abs, Thigh, Knees - Vaser Lipo and Breast Reduction

I'm planning to have Hi-Def VASER Liposuction and a Breast Reduction over the next 12-18 months.

After losing 30lbs and getting much of my old body shape back, I've been left with small back rolls, larger love handles, a distended stomach and cellulite on my inner thighs.

Ive been eating a plant based vegan diet for the past year and exercise 2-3 times a week. Aside from the weight loss, my physical health has improved drastically but I've come to a plateau where there is little more I can do to improve my shape, except keeping consistency.

I'm quite muscular, my stamina is better than ever, the only issue is that my body still looks plump and soft. I don't like my curvy figure and dream of a much more defined physique.

My ideal goal is to feel more petite all over in relation to my height.
