Day 10
lm_molloyApril 5, 2018
The Vaser went well and I can honestly say that I am loving the change in shape already.
To be honest - day 3 and 4 were the worst for me.
I shared a few tears and was stressed because I was not taking the endone they gave me because I was constipated and that was the worst thing more so than the surgery.
I took coloxyl which sorted it out in the end and now being on day 10 I am so much more mobile.
Me and hubby have been quite active 7,000 - 10,000 steps each day from day 5) but don’t be alarmed if you get really exhausted especially on days 3 - 5.
Swelling really peaked for me on days 6 - 8 and I am noticing that each day now I’m getting a lot more ‘flat’.
My mind hasn’t caught up though so I still think I’m a size 12 in tops (probably now an 8). I’ve been wearing harem pants (bonds does a great sort of trending type) and the bonus with them is the band is thin which you will be very thankful for, and just a t-shirt on top! total trend setter but my hubby reckons I look good ha.
Accom has been great! they have been so kind and taking care of us giving us flowers, sending food up when we were ruining their towels with leakage! Ask your surgeon for some extra medical towels for your bed and anywhere you sit.
The leakage was an issue for me from days 1 - 6. I was embarrassed to wrap myself in those medical towels but you get over it pretty quick! lots of water and rest. I started using sanitary pads when the leakage was getting less (days 5 - 7) on the outside of my garment.
If you’re staying in accommodation, I would suggest you get a pick up drop off service for your laundry (I think they are like $14) on days 1 - 4 you will feel pretty gross so that’s the best bet!
The big part from me was my emotions - I was crying and upset and I can’t explain why on days 3-4. I have read lots of people saying the same thing. Not to sure if it’s because you have to stop and repair and do very little - for me, that was really hard as I’m usually working 6 days a week in a mentally stressful job so to not have that mental challenge was har for me.
Day 10 and I’m numb and bruises are going down - I will post my day 2 pics and day 10 pics today (sorry for the lag!!!)

Thanks for the updates and pics. I had the procedure a few days ago and I'm keen to hear how you go with the feeling coming back in the numb areas, and how smooth and symmetrical the results are. I am so over all the leaking!!

ha the leaking.... ohhhhh the leaking!!! I have pretty much all my feeling back from numbness bad my hips. They are still numb which is completely normal. I get the odd zing or zap but mainly on my sides - I was told that the side of your body is where most of your nerve endings are so they will be the areas that you get ‘zapped’ the most. I’m really impressed with the symmetry and the smoothness of my skin - there is more ace tissue coming through now and you just need to check your body on a daily to massage these out. Let me know how you’re tracking! The leaking will be over soon trust me - you will be one happy person when it stops! still tender all over especially at night time but nothing to dramatic to take painkillers for. Hope I’ve helped!
