WORTH IT
Surgery, no matter how invasive, creates apprehension if not fear. Your surgeon should provide you with “whole person” treatment – not merely the surgical target. Discussing with you the details, risks, projected results, and follow-up is as important as being empathetic and caring. So it is with Dr. Champaneria and his entire staff to the Nth degree. When you walk into his office you are greeted in a very caring and calming fashion. You are seen with little if any delay. The compassion of the first person to see you gives you further assurance that you will be treated as a person and certainly not merely another patient or number. Prior to surgery you once again realize how important you are and are treated as such. While there are no guarantees as to any surgery, post-operative discussions and visits are presented in a clear and sympathetic manner such that you clearly understand the outcome and plans for recovery. I was referred by my primary physician with a diagnosis of a cancer on my face. What I have written above is what I experienced. I say without hesitation or reservation that Dr. Manish Champaneria and his entire staff are of the highest caliber and provide excellent if not superior patient treatment and care. I am grateful and give them my sincere appreciation and admiration.

Welcome to the community and thanks so much for offering your opinion of your doctor.

It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.

Our community members especially love seeing photos from before, during, and after — a realistic look at what they can expect. Photos grab the attention of the community and encourage more support for you.

As a community manager, I get requests all the time from other members who want me to to keep encouraging people to share their experiences, which are so helpful for others considering these procedures. So please accept this as a well-intentioned request from thousands.

My orthodontist noticed a small abrasion about my lip. He suggested I see my PCP. My PCP referred me to Dr. Champanaria. He did a biopsy which came back positive for cancer. Surgical removal was schedule promptly. This was not a massive tumor but one that needed prompt attention. Pre- and Post-surgical photos were taken by his staff members accompanied by empathy and a little humor (brought on by me). Throughout all of my contact with Dr. Champanaria and staff I received nothing but superior patient care and attention; explaining what was going to happen, what the anticipated results would be, what the risks were, etc. Post surgical directions were given in a clear and concise manner with pronounced empathy and care. The first follow-up visit revealed excellent healing - probably because I "DID WHAT THE DOCTOR SUGGESTED" - and reminders as to what I needed to continue doing; e.g. massage the area, continue using the bio-Corneum, etc. On my final follow-up visit, we discussed the excellent progress in healing and jointly elected to PRN. In fine, when a physician tells you what he/she sees, gives suggestions and recommendations, an election to pursue such is made, and directions are followed, things are good. When you are treated as a whole and not merely X or Y accompanied by caring people, things go from good to great. So it is with Dr. Champanaria and staff.
