3 Weeks in Pictures

All is going well. I am still dealing with a little bit of pain, but nothing too crazy. Things are startling to settle in a bit and I am still incredibly happy about this choice.

I went to 3 consultations and even hesitated to go to this one because I didn't want to pay the $100 for the consultation. My rationalization was that I was spending thousands on the procedure so I didn't want to spend more just on deciding which surgeon. In retrospect I cannot believe I wasn't willing to invest a little money into finding the right surgeon when this is such a monumental decision. Please girls, if you are reading this- I urge you- don't go "cheap" on a decision of this magnitude.

I am SO grateful that I decided to meet with Dr Gabriel! He is the sweetest, most caring man, and I adore him. His staff is wonderful, too. Upon scheduling I received a folder filled with helpful information and prescriptions. They gave me a list of things to do and what not to do for the weeks leading up to the surgery and for up to a year afterward. Any time I had a question, the response was the same day. When I had my surgery, Dr Gabriel made sure I had his personal cell number in case I needed anything, end even called me himself that night to check up on me.

I poured HOURS into researching this procedure on Realself.com prior to my final decision and was frankly terrified by what I saw: pics of severe bruising and hematomas, etc. My breasts have looked perfect from the moment I came out of surgery and I have had absolutely no complications. Since I chose "gummy bears" (anatomically shaped silicone implants) they are expected to sit high and look a bit funky for the first few weeks as they settle in and drop. By about 3 months they start looking really good and by 6 months you can expect perfect, shapely, sexy breasts. I will try to remember to post my 3 and 6 month pics, but thankfully, my obsession with breasts is over now that I have my own, lol!

I have waited my whole adult life for this and could not be happier with my results. My confidence has already changed dramatically. It could be considered sad by some that my sense of self worth is impacted by such things but it is really none of their business. We live in this world and all of it's warped value systems whether we like it or not, and unfortunately how we look plays an important role in how we feel, simply by the way we are programmed by this world. I say, if you want this procedure done, please take care of your own needs (responsibly) without concern for other's opinions- just DO YOUR RESEARCH and make careful decisions. After all, this is YOUR life. :)

The pics I posted below go chronologically from the pre-op digital renderings of what I was hoping for through the day of surgery and daily shots afterward. I will try to post updates from time to time.
