Husband flew home today...
WORTH IT$6,684
I haven't updated this because I was having such a great time. I saw Dr Gabriel two days ago, everything is going great at two weeks post.
All the swelling went down, and they are slowly starting to drop more each day... So for the first time ever, I have cleavage! Great cleavage! I never even had cleavage when I was breastfeeding and a D cup, so this is exciting stuff. I always had side boob and no projection.
My husband flew back to Honolulu this morning, but my son and I won't be joining him until late June. He is going to be out to sea a lot and not in port, so I get to extend my vacation here.
The only thing that has been bad has been back pain because I'm not used to these new boobs yet & have horrible posture... And awful stomach bloat, which seems to be common on here.
I just started wearing sports bras, and they make my back feel much better than that post surgery bra I was given by my doctor. I need to learn to stand up straight! I am trying.

Saw the nurses and my doctor yesterday
They tried to get a hold of me the night before, but I had my phone off and no voice mail. So yesterday morning they called & I headed over there.
They said everything looked great (swollen and high of course, but that's to be expected) and I could take a shower. I had my husband get in the shower with me & wash me, because it still hurts to move my arms certain ways. It felt so good to have showered!
When my doctor found out I still didn't have a bowel movement, he said to stop taking all my vitamins until I do. The nurse said to switch from Dulcolax stool softeners to laxatives, and to take miralax too. I took both yesterday & drank a bunch of unfiltered apple juice and authentic ginger ale, because those usually do the trick. I went to the bathroom a little tiny bit, but not enough.
The best thing they told me was that I could drink my green tea again! That used to always keep me regular, but I had to stop it pre-surgery because it can cause blood clots. So I'm about to have a big mug of that this morning.
I don't even want to take my pain meds until I can go to the bathroom more, because honestly my bloated stomach hurts way more than my breasts.
Yesterday my doctor took the patch off that was behind my hear, because that causes dry mouth. So I'm very glad that's over with! I had serious cotton mouth no matter how much water I drank. I'm still not having any nausea & my appetite is great.
Yesterday I had a green smoothie and breakfast sandwich from the deli next door, I went to Powell's City of Books with my family & also a Blick art supply store. Then we ate lunch at Whole Foods.
My husband took my son on a walk to the International Test Rose Garden via my walking directions, because even though the roses are all dead, there's an epic playground there. It is too much of a hike for me right now, so I just stayed home and relaxed, caught up on episodes of New Girl.
Then they came home and we had a slow cooked homemade veggie soup my husband made, and I thought we were gonna watch some shows in bed... But I passed out cold and slept all night!
It's really hard for me to get comfortable in bed, even with three pillows stacked behind me to help elevate my chest. But I used this "Chill Pill" essential oil blend in my diffuser by the bed. That stuff knocked both of us out! Highly recommend. I am very well rested now.
I will see my doctor again on the 8th.
The most shocking thing he told me was what sizes of implants he put in. Originally I wanted 375 MF (medium height, full profile.. Rather than the moderate or extra full). And I'm very asymmetrical, so he was going to put 400cc in the small boob.
Well, I worried they wouldn't be big enough, and the day of the surgery he said he'd play around with sizes in the lower 400s. He did that. None of them fit me right. He said the 375 looked best... And that's what is in both sides. I was so confused, because they are the same size now! He said he just moved around some breast tissue. I have no idea how that works, but it did. My boobs are the same size and my nipples are lined up, for the first time in my life. My doctor performed a miracle!

Woke up this morning feeling good!
I'm glad I took all that medication when I woke up hurting at 2 am, and went back to bed.
Also I got brave enough to take off my bra they gave me and get a first look at the new boobs! They're of course sitting high right now, one more than the other.. But that's common and to be expected. They look symmetrical!
That's so exciting for me, I never had symmetrical boobs.. Although they used to be so small that only I could really tell. But when I was breastfeeding and they were big, you could REALLY tell. No matter how much I tried to rotate my son's feelings and even them out.
I'm so excited and happy, can't wait for them to drop and fluff. I know they will look good then.
Had my husband take some pictures in my bedroom this morning, natural light. So these look much better than that hotel bathroom light.
