Look no further, book your surgery with him! I had both a deviated septum corrected as well as cosmetic surgery to subtly change and straighten my nose as well as narrow the tip, done in one, awesome single surgery. I came in with a dorsal hump as well as a bit of a bulbous tip with a line/split on it, in addition to a diagnosed deviated septum that was blocking my left airway. Honestly, the lack of breathing properly had been normal to me, so I was more concerned with the cosmetic benefit of the surgery especially since I'm also an actress.

Both aspects of the surgery have been highly successful! Literally, not just the visual results but also the healing time was super quick, literally within days, with barely any bruising at all which was surprising especially since I'm so fair-skinned and bruise easily. (I did take a lot of Arnica which I highly recommend post surgery even though the verdict is out there whether it truly works or is just placebo in terms of preventing brusing). The swelling too was not noticeable to me and I was always surprised Dr. Younger would tell me in the follow-ups that there's still a lot in the tip and the tip will get smaller and more refined -- even as it looked then, it seemed great and improved from before but he kept telling me the results aren't even finished yet and it will get even better, as it did. The recovery was all in all way easier than I expected and feared. I am now almost a year post-op and am very happy with the results, especially since as I read online, sometimes post surgery things are great but then things shift in the months following -- I'm happy to say this didn't happen with me and the results are still fantastic and even more refined.

Now as for results: You can argue that perhaps I've been more confident since (though truthfully I did not feel hugely unconfident and didn't have a 'terrrible' nose before, just not a nice one you could say), but the facts are as follows: I booked a ton of work immediately following the surgery. Literally within a few weeks, I booked a three commercials as well as a film role, and before that, I'd never booked that many and definitely not one after another.

What was awesome as well is that I was very clear in not wanting to change my nose too much, but just as I said 'take my nose and straighten and improve it' vs. giving me a whole new type of nose, which I did not want. He did exactly that, and I basically look like a prettier, more symmetrical version of myself. My nose is straight now, my tip is narrower and I no longer have that damn bump which I hated. Since my deviated septum was also fixed, I'm able to breath through my nose way better than before, which is actually a new experience -- I'm now working on trying to get over my life-time mouth-breathing habit especially while sleeping at night which my body just became used to doing because my nose breathing was compromised until now.

I do think my new nose is the reason I booked these roles (especially since in commercials, it's all about look and we have to literally stand and turn to the side and pause and show profiles during the audition ). People who see me don't know I've had this done but just think I look great, which is what you want from a good surgery -- for it to improve you but not be overly obvious like you had 'work done'. In fact, people often compliment me now for having a good nose, which I laugh at because that never happened and also because of course they don't know I wasn't born with it. :)

Dr. Younger is fantastic. He is not only extremely knowledgeable and even writes and blogs about surgery, but he truly looks at his work as an artist does. In fact, as you'll see at his office, he has an appreciation for art, which I immediately saw as a good sign that he'd likely have a keen aesthetic eye, and I was right. He's also hilarious and I always look forward to our follow up appointments, because he'll take the time to answer all my questions no matter how repetitive or even neurotic I think I'm being, but he'll also make me laugh; I think that's a rare gift among medical professionals and shows he can relate to you as a regular person and understand your concerns. He's also very, very confident about his work, which is exactly what you want in a doctor and surgeon. I highly recommend him for any work that you are considering. Last but not least, his office staff has also always been excellent and they are always friendly and helpful.
