After there failed attempted by one surgeon, I've been left with less than satisfactory results. My nose is extremely wide, bulbous tip and just crooked. Those things I could almost handle - it's the fact that I can no longer breath through my nose or smell anything. It's honestly detrimental to my well-being. I can barely kiss my boyfriend without feeling like I'm suffocating, and I can't even smell all the pretty flowers that are starting to bloom. And the number one hatred of my awful nose is I don't smile like I used to! I barely smile anymore because 1) the way my smile pulls on my nose is actually uncomfortable and 2) it doesn't look the same :(

(See previous review)

I have a bit of money that I had saved to go backpacking again, and I'm torn on what to use the money for. I've been sent into a deep depression solely because of the outcome of my rhinoplasty.

I have an appointment with an ENT here in Canada to hopefully diagnose the internal damage that has been done. Cross your fingers some of my next surgery will be covered under medical!

Hi Surrey! I still think you are lovely but I'm happy that you have found some one to fix the functional issues with your nose. Will the dr. also fix the cosmetic things that you don't like? I will keep my fingers, toes and eyes crossed for your medical coverage. lol. Keep us posted. Many blessings to you!!!

the smile thing was the hardest thing to come to terms with :( no one ever explained to me that there was a risk my smile would change after a rhino. If that was stated to me before the surgery i wouldnt of bothered getting the surgery at all. I hardly smile anymore either because of this weird tension inside my nose tip and the fact that my nose spreads when i smile and looks ridiculous. Im so sorry ure going thru this and that uve had to endure a couple of rhinos :( Ive sent u a pm too

My original nose always flared when I smiled. I felt a bit self-conscious after my primary surgery when my nose no longer flared AT ALL. But nobody else seemed to notice, and everyone told me I looked better. Too bad my nose was re-broken and altered during the corrective surgery in ways that make my nose worse than it has ever been in my entire life.

I meant to say - when I broke my nose last year and had to have a second surgery.

Its so difficult when it negatively effects a huge part of your life. I honestly think I could handle the fact that it's way too big and uneven. It's the fact that I can't smile properly anymore that really bothers me.

Sorry to hear that! I have had two rhinoplasty done more than 20 years ago and have been hating it. I am strongly considering a revision on it. I have the money to do it, but not the courage.

Thank you for starting your revision story!

did you mean to write 'after three failed attempts' ? not sure if you're saying this was your first or your third surgery by the same surgeon.

Thank you so much! It is not covered under medical. Too bad. :(
