One month update

So its been a month.

I quit using the retin-a cream a couple weeks back because it was making my face peel like a reptile.

I also quit smoking cigarettes and weed completely two weeks ago (I had a bit of an excessive habit, basically smoking all day) and have noticed a dramatic difference in my skin already, among other great changes in the way I feel in general (minus the lack of sleep and normal appetite).

Ive been taking the minocycline twice daily all month, and just ran out today, going to get a refill from the doctor in an hour. But all in all, my skin has made a full 360. between this medicine and making some necessary healthy changes to my lifestyle, the improvement has been very apparent, and people have even been noticing and complimenting how great it looks lately. Which is something I haven't experienced in years.

I also bought a few products from Ole Henricksen that i would highly recommend, ~truth serum, and invigorating night treatment~ to restore the vibrance, smoothness, and texture. they are a little pricey, but very much worth every penny. I love the changes, smaller pores, smoother brighter skin, more even skin tone, fading scars and fine lines are noticeably smoother.

I'm going to keep taking the minocycline for another month and hopefully try to stop taking it next month. but so far so good.

my skin has improved by 99% and I couldnt be happier.

okay week 2!

This combination is working wonders for my acne. In just two weeks, all my cystic acne has reduced to nothing, and all the small bumps have cleared up almost completely.

Still have some redness and scarring spots, which im hoping will go away in time with some help from bio oil. The retin-a did really dry out my skin but with a mild exfoliator and a good hydrating facecream its really done wonders .

I am still pretty splotchy because im very fair skinned, but hoping now that all the acne is subsiding the scars will slowly fade aswell.

Decided to finally try something from the doctor...

Decided to finally try something from the doctor after all of a sudden developping acne about 2 years ago out of nowhere. I have never had acne in my life and started getting several cystic pimples on my chin/jawline, and lots of small bumps.

Tried some things with no success, so I was perscribed a twice daily dose of minocycline 50mg, and Retin-A 0.1 to apply before bed.

Today Is day one, and im planning on tracking my updates here weekly.

Hope it works!!!
