wow, I was just thinking that I am past my halfway mark and that I have less than 2 months until I'm done with my aligners. I do expect to have some refinements done.
I am now changing my trays weekly. I do feel my teeth are still a little sore by the time I need to put in a new tray but I love it that the week goes by so fast.
I am still very diligent and wear my trays and brush and floss all the time. I am also using my Vpro5 quite a bit (more than I should, haha).
I do have to be honest and say that I am looking forward to the time I can snack in the middle of the day! and I miss eating popcorn!!! I could eat it now, but it is a PITA to have to brush and floss and try to get all the popcorn bits out of your teeth, lol
one thing I noticed is that I am having some issues breathing at night. it could be the allergies this time of the year (plus all the construction dust we are having where I live).... I just feel that I wake up in the morning (sometimes even during night) and I start sneezing like crazy and my nose is runny and itchy (from all the yucky stuff that accumulates overnight). I don't know if my aligners are 'pushing' and expanding my jaws in a way that is somehow constricting my airflow?!?! has anyone else experienced this? I thought orthodontics work is supposed to help with breathing, but in my case is the opposite?! I plan to ask my doctor about it. just curious to see if anyone else had this happen to them.

I have recently heard that some people are using baby vibrating teething rings! Has anyone tried them?? I don't know how efficient they are, but for $10-20 it's worth trying. I imagine they are not powerful enough to help with tooth movement, but I can see how they could help with aligner seating and pain.
also update on my Vpro5: I am starting to see progress after using it for about 4 weeks now. I did find that it took a couple weeks for my teeth/jaw to get used to it and really benefit from it. if prior to using it I could feel teeth moving up to day 9-10, now I feel that my teeth move and settle by day 6-7.

Tray 10, Day 2
quick update on my invisalign journey. I am using my Vpro5 each time, twice a day. I know the instructions say to use it once a day, but I am a freak lol. I like overdoing things (like, when they say wear your invisalign 22 hrs/day I always aim for 22.5hrs/day). I am not sure how much this vibration tool helps with teeth movement, but I do like how my aligners fit after I am using it.
I also got green light to change my aligners every 10 days. and...... remember how I said I like overdoing things? I changed my aligners after 11 days! yes, I am probably the first person to wear the aligners for longer than I was told to!! the truth is that after 10 days of tray 9 I felt that my teeth were still sore and not quite done with their movement. so I tried to do the responsible adult thing and be patient. on day 11 I felt that finally my teeth are settled and I changed to tray 10.
I will have to book another appointment with my dentist soon (I only have one more tray at home) and at that point we will re-evaluate how my teeth are doing to see if we keep the 10 days routine.
beside this, I do feel tray 10 is pushing my teeth quite a bit. Today I had to take an advil400 because I had a mild annoying headache and my teeth were hurting a bit too. felt a lot better after taking the pill and the pain is all gone now.
even tho I have that vibration tool I am still chewing my munchies each time I put my trays back in.
ok, that's it for now.
