2.5 Years Post Op

Squish Squish!
0:37
Hello Realself beauties :)
Hard to believe its been two and a half years since my boob "restoration". Everything has been great. In fact, this entire journey was very easy for me. I never really talked much about my recovery, but I really feel so blessed for the easy experience I had. I never needed any pain meds, didn't need help getting up, going to the washroom, etc. No bruising or bleeding or mondors cords. I was able to to have a bath by myself the day after surgery, and shower alone (including washing my hair) two days post op. I had almost full range of motion within a few days. My son was 22 months old at the time and the only help I required with him was lifting in and out of bed/bath/car seat. I also never suffered any constipation or boobie blues! I cant really explain why or how I had such a fantastic recovery.. I do think it had something to do with my surgeons technique, but I also think that keeping a positive attitude and not focusing on discomfort made a difference for me as well. I was aware that my boobs looked super ugly and weird at first but I can honestly say I never felt down or stressed about it. I knew that they would change a lot, and they certainly did. I'm sure that not having to take any narcotic pain medication played a big role in my mental/emotional state too.. I think a lot of people don't realize how much meds can mess with your head. To any early post op girls feeling stressed and crazy.. please try to stay positive!! Once the pain is gone and your body starts to function normally things will be so much better. Scars will fade, boobs will even out, sensitivity will decrease or diminish (in majority of cases). I know some things can be scary but time really does heal both mentally and physically. I haven't seen many other women mention this, but my nipples were really swollen at first. I was worried that they would stay like that but thankfully they didn't!
I'm still happy I chose to have this procedure done. I don't have any regrets although I do occasionally experience some boob envy of women with smaller breasts.
I do still struggle with finding clothing that looks flattering yet appropriate. As Ive mentioned before, tight tops make my boobs look too "out there".. I feel that they have a lot of projection. But loose or flowy tops just make me look like a tent or blob and completely hide the fact that I have a waist. Sizing is hard sometimes too. I need a S or XS in top and dresses and jackets (occasionally XXS), yet those sizes aren't exactly accommodating to larger breasts.
I have been asked to post a video and some photos so here they are! I hope the video clearly demonstrates how soft and bouncy they are. I know for some women, the feel and movement of their implants isn't a big deal (some prefer firm and stable) but to me it was very important to have them look and behave as close to natural breasts as possible.
On an unrelated but interesting note- did you all hear that the December issue of Vogue has declared that cleavage is "over"??!

Bathing Suit Hits and Misses!

Seeing as bathing suit season is among us once again I figured I'd share my thoughts on some of my recent purchases. As the title suggests.. some were great, others not so much. Guess you cant win every time right?!

Hope all you beautiful ladies are having an amazing summer :-)

Bra Reviews

Hello lovely ladies :-)

Just wanted to share my opinion on a few bras that I've acquired recently. Sometimes its nice to see stuff on regular people, rather than "angels" who make everything look absolutely amazing!
I figured it makes the most sense to write a description under each picture rather than writing out a long paragraph here.
As you'll notice, I decided to post mostly angled pictures. Reason being, I think they give a much more accurate idea of the shape that the bras give! Some bras make your boobs look amazing from the front, but pointy or boxy from the side. And unless you are wearing something really revealing the side profile is more important than the front view!

Hope all my RS friends are well.
xo

Dr. Pugash is very straight forward and professional. I loved that about him! He discusses any possible risks and makes sure his patients have a clear understanding about realistic expectations and about the procedure itself. I felt reassured by his years of experience and impressive medical schooling and certifications. He is very confident in his work, and that made me feel confident! His office ladies are really sweet and helpful. They always make you feel welcome and are happy to answer any questions you have. The anesthesiologist and the staff at the surgical center were all very pleasant too and I always felt like I was well cared for. I definitely feel like I made the right choice in choosing Dr.Pugash, and I would highly recommend him to anyone in the Vancouver area. Or even out of the Vancouver area, he is worth travelling for!!
