Radiant Skin Builds Confidence

Let’s face it. When you feel better about your physical appearance, it makes you feel better about yourself. Aging is not an easy process! Having a fantastic Dermatologist with an equally amazing Nurse Aesthetician, Lauren, is helping to alleviate some of the natural process of aging.

I am of the era that loved to bake in the sun. Today, I don’t leave my house without sunblock and frequently a hat. I never open the sunroof on my car either. So, I suppose a “Vampire”
facial would be very appropriate for one who doesn’t hang out in the sun.:)

Initially, Lauren took two vials of blood from my arm. This blood was treated to bring out the plasma which was to be applied to my face later on. Lauren also applied a topical numbing cream to my face to alleviate any potential discomfort from the Microneedling. It really does not hurt. Let’s face it, if you’re reading this you’ve probably;
A) Had cramps from your period.
B). Gone through childbirth .
C). Had a less than “fun” procedure at the Dentist.
Micro needling is just mildly uncomfortable and pales by comparison on the pain level to three above mentioned things.

I can’t even describe what the Microneedling instrument looks like because I simply don’t look at it. Maybe that sounds odd to some but I d rather not know. After that procedure, the Plasma from my blood was applied to my face. She topped it off with a vitamin C mask.

I am not a novice to Microneedling. I had several treatments by Lauren last year before my son’s wedding but never with PRP. I am posting a picture today 10 hours after the procedure. I’m feeling fine and happy and looking forward to even more glowing results over the next few weeks.

To this day, I believe that less is more. I would rather treat myself with less invasive procedures than going under the knife. I want to be able to maintain myself with the most natural looking results as possible. I will be celebrating my 60th birthday in November!
