Microneedling with PRP Definitely Worth It!

WORTH IT
I’ve had microneedling done in the past, but decided to add PRP (aka a Vampire Facial) to help with recent acne scars.
This procedure was a three step process for me:
1- having my blood drawn
2- having my face numbed with numbing
cream
3- the microneedling treatment with the added PRP
I can’t stress enough how nervous I was to have my blood drawn but their RN, Lisa was absolutely amazing. She put up with my panic and answered all the questions I had. In the end I hardly felt her taking the blood from my arm! I was worried for nothing.
After the blood was drawn and my face was nice and numb, Easa (my favourite aesthetician) began the microneedling process. My face was so numb I hardly felt it.
Once the procedure was done, my face was very swollen & red. This is normal for me because I have such sensitive skin. It felt right and like I had a sunburn - but no bruising or deep marks!
It’s important not to touch your face or put anything in it for at least 24-48hrs following the procedure. I made sure I didn’t have to leave the house for 2 days after the procedure because of how red my face was.
By day 3 all swelling and redness was gone. My skin started peeling but it was completely manageable!
It’s been a week since the procedure and no new breakouts. My skin has stopped peeling and i’m already seeing my acne scars fading away. I can’t wait to see the continued results! I’m very happy I added the PRP and had this done at 8 West. I highly recommend seeing them for any microneedling/cosmetic procedures.
