I’m getting a breast lift with Lipo and a tummy tuck with muscle repair/ Lipo. I’ve lost 65 pounds the last few years and work out 3-4 times a week but the loose skin stays as we know. My surgery is in 3 days and I’m scared of course, but I am confident in my surgeon. I’ll post pics tonight of “before”. This site has really prepared me mentally and I’m grateful ????

You’re going to look great! Take it easy and try to enjoy doing nothing for the next 1-2 weeks! Focus on rest and eating to heal.

Day 7 and off to see surgeon in an hour! I pray I get drain tubes out that would rock! Yesterday I went downstairs for the first time and sat outside awhile. My mom and husband washed my hair over the kitchen sink and boy was that refreshing lol! Made a big difference moving around!

You did not stay in the hospital? Surgery then home? You can rest and eat toast, no need to ply me with answers. lol I will have a 2.5 hr plane ride then a 4.5 hour drive home after mine.

Held in Tiberius room 4 hours until I peed lol but I had to have catheter ugh! Then I was able to get out. I live about 12 minutes from Surgery Centre and same amount to surgeons office which is across from hospital!

It went well but the nausea sucked lol! Lost 2.43 pounds of skin so that was good. I couldn’t pee on 2 attempts to be able to go home sooner, so unfortunatly I needed a catheter so I could get out of there. Happy to be home. I’m in pain but it’s manageable at the moment

Day 4 got some blues

User Avatar
terbear65
I find day 4 post op my tummy hurts more, I have gassy pains and I cried at 245 am getting to to pee. Wondered why I hated my body so much that I would choose to hurt this way etc. I think I’m feeling more as my tummy and boobs relax and I read that I’d feel emotional here or there so I guess Sunday is going to be my blues day . I haven’t taken off binder yet as I’m scared but my hubby wants to later today to massage bruises areas with Arnica. I’ll take photos then too ????

Your feelings are totally normal and the only thing one may do during such times is remind ourselves that this to shall pass. If you are able to look at before and after photos, sometimes it helps to see the difference and know that the results get better with each passing day. Don’t worry hun, you’ve got this!

Thank you! We got the binder changed and hubby says it all looks good and by tomorrow I’ll be ready to get a pic for this part of journey☺️

Chin up, I cried today as well this morning. My pain when I woke up seemed to be real. As the day has gone on I am feeling better and areas are starting to itch under my binder which is annoying. I bet once you take the binder off you will feel so much better. :)

Awwww I’m sorry you hurt too! This is our transition day

I’ve read these feelings are normal too. I hope you feel better very soon. Just remember this too shall pass. I have a few more days and I’m sure I’ll need some one to remind me of that very thing... As of now the anxiety working up to flat day is enough to drive me bonkers. In the meantime, I wish you you a speedy recovery!

This is so normal, everyone goes through some post op blues the first week. It is hard but will get better. Soon you’ll turn a big corner and every day will get noticeably easier.. and then you start to see results and you’ll be thrilled!
