New journey
I had my procedure at 9 am but due to LA traffic I ended up being 1 hr late. They told me I will be able to meet with him but probably won't be able to do the procedure. It was fine with me because I was late. Anyways his surgery got delayed and he was able to get me in for my surgery. I was really nervous. He was very nice. I was all prepped for my procedure, all numbed up and then he got called out to do a surgery. His staff order lunch for us to eat since we were there for quiet a while. Which was really nice because I didn't eat that big of a breakfast. He came back and gave me a shot. Which I was so numb I didn't feel that shot. I've read that that shot was suppose to hurt. I felt tugging but no pain. After the procedure was on he put me on a machine called L wave. He asked me if I wanted to be a part of his study. Sure thing. Its suppose to help with the swelling. That machine was amazing. Finally got back to the hotel and ate a small dinner and just rest for the day.
Woke up about 4am and couldn't pee. I just figure it was because I was swollen. I went back to sleep. Got up about 8am and was in pain because my bladder was hurting. I called the office. They told me to go right in asap. We got to the office and he drained me. It felt soo good. He checked everything and all is well. He figures it was just me being swollen. He gave me some water and tea to drink. He wanted to make sure I can go pee first before he let me go back to the hotel. We waited and waited and finally had the urge to go. I went to the bathroom and nothing came out. I was so frustrated and upset with myself. Asking myself "What is wrong with me" went back to the room they put us in. After several hours still not unable to go he put a catheter in me and we went home. We had to come back Weds ,Thursday, and Friday morning because I still couldn't pee. Finally on Friday morning with no success and no catheter Dr. Ghozland said "go for a walk out side explore the city. Maybe your just too focus on pee that you're stressing yourself out." So off we went for a walk. I was thinking to myself seriously like this is going to work, but it feels great to walk around without a bag attached to me. A huge relief. So me and my husband went walking around the block eating lunch and just enjoying the freedom to walk among people. lol. Finally had the urge to go. We went back up to the office and asked for the key to the bathroom. I was so nervous. I couldn't believe it when I was able to pee. I was so happy. I went back with a big smile on my face and all the nurses were so happy. One client asked if we were pregnant. lol No I was able to pee. lol. He came in and checked me and gave me the okay to go home. Our flight was Saturday which was tomorrow afternoon.
Its been a week and I went back to work and all was well. I was alittle sore but nothing too bad. I had 2 bm and it went smoothed. I took 1 colace with each codeine that I took. That really helped me. I was so afraid.
Its been 2 weeks now and I feel great. I am a little itchy but that is all. I've been cleaning it with a shower head 2x a day and then putting neosporin on it afterward and I just sleep bare. The swelling had gone down drastically. I am continuing to heal. My stitches are still there but other then that I feel pretty normal. I will keep everyone up to date.
