One of the Most Meaningful Decisions I Have Ever Made

I am Dr Shristi from Guwahati Assam and I had been researching gender affirming surgery for almost five years before making this deeply personal decision. I came to know about Olmec through a friend who had undergone her vaginoplasty Penile inversion type B there about a year ago. After learning about the different vaginoplasty techniques my main preference was to avoid any procedure involving the intestine and after discussing the available options I decided to undergo PIB vaginoplasty. I had an online consultation with Dr Narendra Kaushik before surgery and found his counselling very helpful. He explained the different surgical options clearly addressed my concerns patiently and gave me the confidence to proceed. I am currently on my 12th day after surgery. The first couple of days were quite painful and challenging but my recovery has been progressing well and I am now able to walk eat properly and manage many of my regular activities. I was also very happy with the hospital staff including the nursing team housekeeping staff reception staff and other support staff who were extremely caring patient and supportive throughout my stay. During the difficult initial days they were always available whenever I needed assistance which made the recovery much easier. It is still early in my recovery so I cannot comment on the final surgical outcome yet but based on my experience so far I am very happy with the care guidance and support provided by Dr Narendra Kaushik and the entire Olmec Healthcare Clinic team. I am truly grateful to everyone who supported me through this important chapter of my life and I look forward to continuing my recovery.
