Finally Feeling Complete My Penile Inversion Type B Journey With Dr Narendra Kaushik

On 30 June I underwent Penile Inversion Type B surgery with Dr Narendra Kaushik at Olmec. This surgery was one of the biggest milestones of my life and I wanted to share my experience for anyone who is considering gender affirming surgery.
Overall my experience has been wonderful. Like every hospital there are areas that could be improved. The documentation process can be slow and there were delays at different stages. During my very first visit to the hospital for my orchiectomy I also had some unpleasant experiences with the reception staff. I felt that the administrative side of things could have been handled much better. However when I returned for my penile inversion surgery I noticed a significant improvement. The experience was much smoother and it was clear that positive changes had been made.
The medical care I received was outstanding from the moment I was admitted. Dr Narendra Kaushik and his entire team made me feel safe and cared for throughout my stay. The nursing staff and post operative care team deserve special appreciation. They were patient attentive and always available whenever I needed help. Recovering from gender affirming surgery can be physically and emotionally challenging but having such a supportive team made the journey much easier.
I have not yet seen my final surgical results as I am still early in my recovery so I cannot comment on the final aesthetic outcome. However based on everything I have experienced so far I am hopeful and excited about the results.
This surgery meant much more to me than simply changing my body. For as long as I can remember having male genitalia was one of the biggest sources of my gender dysphoria. It constantly made me feel incomplete and prevented me from fully expressing myself as the woman I have always known myself to be. Reaching this stage of my transition feels incredibly emotional because it brings me much closer to finally feeling whole. It is difficult to put into words what that means after carrying this feeling for so many years.
One thing I was not fully prepared for was the emotional impact of the surgery itself. Even though this was something I had wanted for a very long time I experienced a mixture of emotions after waking up from the operation. There was happiness relief anxiety excitement and uncertainty all at the same time. I now realize that these emotions are a normal part of such a life changing procedure and having a compassionate medical team around me made a tremendous difference.
Throughout my stay I always felt that my health comfort and recovery were the priority. Every member of the team treated me with kindness respect and professionalism which helped me build confidence during the recovery process.
No hospital is perfect and I believe Olmec can continue improving its administrative processes and documentation. However when it comes to the quality of surgical care post operative support and the dedication of the medical team I have been genuinely impressed.
Choosing to undergo gender affirming surgery is one of the most personal and important decisions anyone can make. Based on my experience I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Narendra Kaushik and the team at Olmec to anyone considering this journey. They have helped me move one step closer to becoming the person I have always wanted to be and for that I will always be grateful.
