5 months
Im at just over 5 months post and my results are absolutely amazing! Im about where i was when i was in my early 20s, before having any kids. I can feel everything during sex and my muscle control is so strong! I'm 2 fingers wide with a little stretch. The tightening went all the way up close to my cervix. Every time we have sex there is a brief uncomfortable stretch- the normal one from having a bigger partner- that goes away quickly. I still have sensitivity in the perineum that gets better and less as time goes by. The tightening has actually increased as time has gone by and i have more control of my muscles. The results are everything i dared to hope for! Best thing I've ever done for myself.
6 weeks
6 weeks post op. I've had no pain at all for over 3 weeks. I only have a couple of stitches remaining in the perineum that haven't completely dissolved yet. The swelling has gone down quite a bit so the skin tag isn't visible any more. Bruising is almost completely gone. I do still have sensitivity at the vaginal entrance and in the entire perineum area. I can feel a huge difference when doing kegals and when wiping from the bathroom- i can feel a thick muscle structure under the skin. Clearance for sex should come tomorrow.
First and second day
I woke up with no pain and my partner waiting in the next room. The Anesthesiologist (who is amazing and has a great bedside manner) was in the recovery room waiting for me. He talked to me and made sure i was ok, and after a few minutes i was good to go home. Once home i was able to get the pictures, settled in, and slept and ate. I started feeling the pain about an hour before meds time. It was mostly pressure. After meds i started feeling a LOT of pressure. I did get a call in the evening from the office checking on me and making sure i had no concerns. I took my meds incorrectly and was in pain that night. (our fault) the pressure felt like i was 10 cm dilated with a10lb baby and it was all in my rear end. The next day we corrected the meds and it was much more manageable. The catheter is a pain of course but it was so necessary, i ended up hanging the bag on the bottom drawer of my bedside table. I was waking around the house ok but preferred to stay in bed. You will need pads, tucks pads (i went through 2 containers), panty liners, dermoplast, and a boppy pillow if you can get one.
