Absolutely Life Changing and Worth It

To summarize my “why”: I have always been a bit self conscious about my female anatomy, always had longer labia then what I would consider “normal”; and then after 3 natural deliveries (two of them being traumatic to the area.) I was experiencing not only more noticeably unattractive vulvar appearance but also a lot of pain. It sort of radiated throughout my pelvis but certainly started in or around my labia, I still haven’t figured it out. All I knew was my anatomy wasn’t right and was referred to UCSF to have labiaplasty- but the surgery was being pushed out mostly due to covid. I was tired of waiting and having the pain and discomfort progress, So I called around, and finally called Dr. Rajagopal’s office and immediately knew that I would be booking the consultation. Everyone I talked to from that point on was so friendly and helpful with my MANY questions. Fast forward to the consultation and surgery, Usha knew exactly what I was seeing and explaining immediately and that helped me psychologically I think because so many times I was treated by other doctors as if that sort of trauma after childbirth is normal which is definitely isn’t. I should also add my sex life was non existent and painful if I tried, all around was impacting my life very negatively. The day of surgery I was taken care of by the team and was so nervous and they ALL were beyond comforting. Dr. Rajagopal’s bedside manner was amazing. She is so straight forward and confident, and is ready to answer any question you throw her way. Immediately I looked at my results, of course you’re not supposed to for a few days but I was eager to, and already loved it. As the healing process went on, day by day the difference in my level of comfort improved. The list would be too long to write in how many different ways this has improved my daily life- simple things like I can wear underwear and leggings whereas before underwear hurt me- jeans hurt me, now I can wear skinnies. Tiny bikinis? No problem, no lip slip. The appearance in my opinion is perfect whereas before I didn’t even want my long time partner to see me with the lights on- sexual function is as if I never had babies, I can feel pleasure again after years of not. I had labiaplasty and vaginoplasty performed on the same day. I tell all my friends to call Doctor Rajagopal first with anything they might need. I will be going to her office again for any further procedures including to fix up my breasts done by another plastic surgeon in the area.I can’t say how happy I am and how worth it it was. 5 stars to the whole office, on all levels.
