Going back in two weeks for follow up re: bruise and slight unevenness

Hi again - I have just been back for my usual Botox and I wanted Petra to check on the area of the bruise - if this bruise isn't the longest lasting bruise I have ever had!! Petra assured me it was a bruise and it IS fading - it's just taking it's time. And I guess it's true - when I cut myself I do bleed quite a bit. Anyway for the most part, I am happy, but now that all of the swelling has gone down, there is a slight unevenness in the area below my left eye (the same side as the bruise) - it's not as 'full' as the right. Possibly a bit nit-picky, but she is going to fix this by adding a bit more. She did not want to do it now as the bruise was still there; just in case the Voluma hasn't fully 'settled' yet (not her words but basically she didn't want to do anything in the area until this was fully healed. This picture was taken today.

1 year post initial treatment

I have since been back for regular Botox injections (every 4-5 months is good for me)and recently had .5 ml top up of Juvederm to my nasolabial folds (this was still looking "ok", I must be a relatively slow metabolizer of the Juvederm as I thought it would last 6-8 months!) Everything has gone wonderfully. I wanted to give added volume to my cheeks so I tried Juvederm Voluma to the cheeks to give lift and definition. Voluma is quite pricey and I spent about $1000 however it is supposed to last 18 months to two years. I love the results. Again Petra did the work. I now plan on having my lips slightly enhanced!

I was really becoming self conscious about my nasiolabial folds as I had lost a bit of weight and my face seemed to age quite a bit. The lines in my forehead had become deeper and I wanted a solution. I saw an ad for a group discount for .5ml of Juvederm applied to most areas of the face and thought I would give it a go (groupon price was approx. $150, this was done in a clinic in Leeds, UK and all prices were in Pounds Sterling). After consulting with the nurse practitioner who was very knowledgeable, she thought the .5ml would be enough for the nasolabial folds and regarding the lines on my face, she said she thought botox would eliminate most of those over time. I had always considered botox so I was willing to give that a try as well. I decided on Botox to the three areas of my face - between eyebrows, forehead, and around eyes. I felt very comfortable and in safe hands. All questions I had were answered by the advanced nurse practitioner named Petra. She has an extensive background and has worked as a aesthetic nurse for many years. I do say I have a fairly high pain tolerance and felt little discomfort with the Juvederm to the nasolabial folds. The Botox was like a slight pin prick although some of these were more uncomfortable than others. Pain - no. Immediately I could see the results regarding the nasolabial folds and was extremely happy I had decided to get them done. The reason I have waited a year to review is because I have since been back for a top-up in my nasolabial folds. I have had Botox regularly (I seem to be fine having it done every 4 months) and I have recently added volume in my cheeks with Juvederm Voluma. (reviews of this later) Plan on going in for a subtle lip enhancement!Click here too see my botox review

Petra is the most fabulous, knowledgeable aesthetic nurse practitioner/prescriber you will meet - with an equally fabulous personality. She will take her time to discuss your concerns or questions about any of the products or techniques. I have gone in THINKING I knew what I wanted, having her explain WHY she would do something different - trust her - and see that she is 100% right. I have seen Petra many times now for more Juvederm and Botox and have never been left disappointed. When I have called the head office the Personal Advisors have always been more than helpful, along with a friendly manner. They have always answered email correspondence promptly.
