Well I decided that I was tired of having my face...

WORTH IT$4,200
Well I decided that I was tired of having my face injected every 9 months or so with different products and various quantities of products. After doing the math, I spent more than $3000.00 a year, and then adding voluma to the mix took me to about $4000.00 a year. I was scheduled to have liposuction on my flanks and knees so I decided why not make use of something I hate (fat) for something good. From my understanding different surgeons use different techniques and equipment for harvesting and preparing the fat. I believe that my fat transfer mechanism was called PureGraft. At first I was hesitate to go through with the procedure because, SOOOOOO many people complained about the fat not 'taking' or 'losing' fat. (Of course some doctors will say that, because then you come back to them again for fillers!! LOL) Well, I decided to cash in my refund and test this theory myself. It was a project I committed myself to, besides I consider myself a leader not a follower. To me it was like working on a PC most of your life, and then taking a leap and saying, ok it's time to switch to a Mac! I was under general anesthesia because I had other 'tune' ups going on at the same time. However, I was told this is a local procedure that can be done in office. Anyway, I am post op day 6 and so far so good! I can definitely see a difference. The reason you don't see any swelling or major bruising on me is due to the technique the doctor used and some medical grade supplements which I definitely would recommend anyone who is getting anything done to their face. So now my journey begins. Tomorrow I will post my pre-op pic, and my 6 day post op, and will continue to do so through my journey. I am totally thrilled at the results already. The places that I got injected were: nasolabial folds, temples, brows, lateral orbital rim, pre-jowel, cheeks, peri-oral.

are the pictures labeled correctly? The bottom picture (post op) looks more hollow than the top pic (before) ? I thought fat transfer filled in the hollow…I'm confused….

I guess for me i notice a difference... The darkness and hollowing (thin looking tissues) are on top... a much more smooth and filled appearance on the bottom... Perhaps the lighting on my photos aren't the greatest, but I love em!

Sorry for the confusion, I just reviewed your comment and my picture again, and I think you are confusing my "tear trough," or inner eye socket with the part that was filled with fat. I already had Belotero in the tear trough, so the doctor didn't want to put any fat there this time. Where he did put the fat around my eyes looks much better afterward than before. He put it along the "lateral," or outside part of my eye socket and along my brow, and if you look at the preop picture, you can see a little fold of skin that is hanging down toward my upper lid which is completely gone now that there is more volume in my brows. My brows are just plumper and more like a young girl's brows. He also filled in my temples, and those are much plumper too. You're right, fat transfer is supposed to fill in the hollows, but it's not supposed to be blatantly obvious. Subtle and natural is the key, and I feel as though that's what I truly got.

I think it's just hard to tell because the pictures are so small. I am so glad you are happy though! I love hearing success stories with fat grafting!
