Two Weeks Post Op

Two weeks later. Feeling pretty good. Any little pains I had are gone. Still slightly swollen but way less then day of. Got a new bra today! No underwire, just something to keep the girls up and not showing through a shirt. Size of bra I got after surgery so far: "D" ????

One week post op

So I'm one week after my BA. Feeling good. Soar from time to time, as is to be expected after having two 475cc mid profiles placed under the muscle. Been doing my stretches and log roles twice a day for fifteen minutes each. I had a little bruising, a line about half an inch wide by an inch and a half. Was pretty narly looking day two but it's gotten much better by now. Avoiding lifting more than ten pounds has proven harder and harder as I start feeling better, but muscle cramps from over exerting myself constantly remind me that ten pounds is a good number for a couple more weeks. All in all feeling good. Note: morning stretches are critical!!! Most sharp pains come from not stretching and if you do good morning and evening stretches the sharp pains are practically gone.

I am a 29 year old mother of 2. My body has been through a lot between two c-sections and nursing. I was active duty for 7 years, so I know how to keep my body in shape. What I didn't have the ability to do was grow the two things that made me feel good about myself: my breasts. I had been in a bad first marriage. After a few months of marriage my ex-husband would say things like he wished I had bigger breasts, or he thought I should go get bigger breasts, etc. After I had my first child I deployed. She was only 7 months old. Psychologically I was a mess, and then he called me while I was in Afghanistan to tell me he wanted a divorce. The woman he left me for had very very large breasts. I was a basket case as far as my self esteem went. After that I could never enjoy shopping for bras again. Not that I enjoyed shopping for them before, but now it was even more of a constant reminder of how I wasn't "womanly" enough. I couldn't even find bras that fit me comfortably. I married my current husband who loves me no matter how big my breasts are, but he understood that I needed to do this for myself. After my second child my breasts were worse than before. I would buy push up bras to try to give myself some confidence in my clothes, but those were the worst. The band never fit my chest properly, they were always too tight. The cup never help my sagging breast in place, and whenever I raised my arms my breasts would fall out of the bottom of the bra and the bra would rise to my chin. It was super embarrassing to have to fix in public. I went to Dr. Kirk Moore because one of my good friends had gone to him 2 years earlier and had her girls done. I was impressed by what he had done for her and knew if my girlfriend could trust him than I could trust him. Two years later and she is still over the moon about her new appearance! Not only is Dr. Moore a artist, but he's board certified, and he's prior service. To me that means integrity first, service before self, and excellence in everything you do. I feel like he lives by this as he tells you exactly what would be a good fit for you and explains why. So while other doctors may say, sure, whatever you want, and then you may regret them later down the road, or they weren't what you were thinking they would be, he gives you a real world idea of what would be the best fit for you.
All in all I had the girls done yesterday. I woke up this morning and as I was getting my family ready for the day I stopped, turned to my husband, and said babe! I don't have to adjust my bra! He said, why would you? You aren't wearing a bra. Lol, I said that's not the point. The point is that I feel like I am finally complete, after years of feeling inadequate and broken, I now feel whole, like a piece of me was missing. He still looked at me like I had a screw loose, but in time I think he will understand what I meant.
If you are hear reading this and you are debating about if it's right for you, just ask yourself one thing: Why are you having it done? Be honest with yourself when answering this question.

Dr. Moore is amazing! His staff is professional, helpful, and super friendly. Dr. Moore himself is a caring surgeon who wants the best for his patients. The consultation was super fun, trying on sizes and seeing which one would be the perfect fit! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Moore and his staff. Please check out his website about his Rapid Recovery Breast Augmentation and his youtube video of an actual surgery with an interview from Dr. Moore at the end. And if all else fails, give his office a call and see for yourself!
