Five Week Update Vaginoplasty and Labiaplasty

Hello again real self friends. Well it's been five weeks now and I feel terrific. No longer do I have to plan my trips around a bathroom locations. When I have to void I can walk, not run to the bathroom fearful that I will have an accident!
I am so glad I chose Dr. Ghozland. He performed the surgery while I was awake. I had the option of being sedated but since I was not nervous that was not necessary. Other surgeons wanted to put me under General Anesthesia which carries with it a greater risk and a greater expense. It's simply was not necessary in my case. Also, I cannot believe how quickly I recovered! He is my kind of surgeon!!
The work he did is aesthetically pleasing and the tightness is definitely there. It's too soon to resume relations but I am certainly looking forward to that (yay).
Will keep you posted.............

2 Week Update Vaginoplasty and Labiaplasty

Well, it has been 2 weeks now and I'm happy to report that all is well. The biggest problem was the intense itching and a few areas of soreness on the incision line of the perineoplasty. These worsen the more longer I am on my feet. I saw my NP, who assured me that there is no infection, rather local reactions to the sutures and healing process. This is gradually improving.

Finally Did It!!

Hello again, Real Self friends. Well, I finally did it-had the combination Vaginoplasty and Labiaplasty. Here's the scoop & if anyone has any questions or if I need to clarify something, please let me know.
My surgery was in Los Angeles, CA with Dr. David Ghozland. DH and I flew into LAX the day before. We took a cab to the Marriott Residence Inn in Manhattan Beach. The Marriott is within walking distance to groceries so we stocked up.
Surgery day. Now DH is a good man, a good provider, my true love for over 45 years and an excellent father. But he is squeamish. Very squeamish. So, I left him in bed, caught an Uber and went to Dr. Ghozland's office. Alone.
I chose Dr. David Ghozland for several reason: His reviews are solid, my Gyne liked his technique, he was willing to do this without sedation or general anesthesia, he and his staff are accessible, and I was given straight answers about costs. Believe me this was not always the case with everyone I contacted!!
At the consultation we discussed the particulars. For example, I did not want the clitoral hood reduced and he was fine with that. I had no preference for a particular labiaplasty technique so left the decision to Dr. Ghozland (he chose the trim). Then, down to business!! First, a topical anesthetic cream was applied to the vaginal and labial area. Then the cream was worked into the tissue with a device which felt like a massage. It felt good, not in a erotic way, just relaxing.
Then the Shots of local anesthetic that everyone dreads. Ladies, They were Nothing! Nothing! I have had mosquito bites more bothersome than those shots. And remember, I was not sedated. These folks have a great technique.
Then the labiaplasty followed by the vaginoplasty. I had a mild rectocele repaired at the same time.
Being awake and aware during the surgery, I was able to ask questions and was kept apprised of the progress. It was Great. And, bless Dr. Ghozland, he injected extra long-acting local anesthetic into the area so I had close to 18 hours of numbness.
Then back to the hotel via Uber. Slept extra for the next two days which is normal for me. That's how I recover. I had No Pain, just some discomfort alleviated by Ibuprofen.
The following day was my follow-up appointment where I was pronounced doing well and fit to travel. The next day we left for home.
Today marks 1 week and all is well. Have had a little soreness, but no *Pain* but I'm forcing myself to take it easy anyway. No nausea, no problems eliminating (but choosing the correct food helps).
Dr. Ghozland has been in contact to monitor my recovery.
I'll Update Later
