Upper eyelid surgery in the Netherlands - painless procedure

Stitches out!

I finally have an eyelid again! The area still looks red and bruised but overall I am happy with the difference. The lids don’t look especially tight but maybe it’s good that it’s looking pretty natural. Not sure yet how I will feel when it’s all healed up. Will post an update after one week when I can finally put on some make up again.

Did the doctor use dissolvable suture or he removed them himself? Please keep us updating with more pics. Wishing you a speed recovery, thanks for sharing!

They were not dissolvable, no. The nurse removed them after one week.

Upper Eyelid Surgery in The Netherlands

Been hating my upper eyelids for years. They have always made me look older than my age. I toyed with the idea of blepharoplasty for years but always chickened out. I finally got to a point where I was so fed up and scheduled the surgery. Just had it two days ago. The staff and doctor was super friendly and caring. The procedure was under local anesthetic and practically painless. Botox is indeed a lot more painful! I already knew from previous procedures that I’m a sweller so I’m not shocked by my current appearance. I have been icing a lot the first 24 hours and now it’s just a waiting game. Will update in a few days. Friday the stitches come out and I can’t wait!
