How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Botched surgeries
Dr. Tanzman botched me. I had two procedures done with him- Upper Blepharoplasty and Lip Lift. Procedures done in Jan 2023.
I decided to have an upper Blepharoplasty because I was very self conscious about my hooded eyes. Dr. Tanzman placed the incisions WAY higher above the crease where they were suppose to be. I’m now left with horrible wide scars that are SO visible.
When I went for a follow up 8 months post op, I brought up the terrible scarring. He informed me that he could revise them and do a revision. He said it looked like my skin was just “irritated.” Stupidly, I agreed to let him do the revision. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and blamed the terrible scarring on me, when I should have realized he just completely cut the incisions outside where they were suppose to be. But I just couldn’t fathom how a surgeon could mess him a procedure so bad.
I had the upper bleph revision in September, and all he did was cut over the same terrible incisions- now here I am looking the same (botched).
SO, I went to see another Plastic Surgeon and an Oculoplastic Surgeon. The 2 doctors I saw were both STUNNED. They said they couldn’t believe how a doctor could place the incisions that high above the crease! They both said I had the worst SH!T job of a Blepharoplasty they’ve seen. Because I made the stupid decision to allow and trust Dr. Tanzman to do a revision, I had zero skin left in my eyelids to do another revision with an actual qualified surgeon. Nothing now I can do about the placement of the scars.
I ALSO had a lip lift done the same time as my bleph. My incision for this was cut so low, that the other surgeons I saw said my only option was to cut it out and re-do the whole surgery. So I had to pay another 4K to a new surgeon just to fix that!
I’m now much more self conscious than I ever was, and have to live with these horrible visible eyelids scars. I wish everyday I never went here. Bleph scars are the most easily concealed but not in my case- I CONSTANTLY have people pointing them out. Even with makeup they show.
PLEASE do your research when selecting a surgeon. I was young and dumb and didn’t properly research.
