Upper Eyelid Surgery in Iowa

WORTH IT$3,500
These pictures are before the eyelid surgery. I have had hooded eyelids from a very young age but when I turned forty I saw things go down hill. Creams really don't work and it took me quite a few trys before Insurance agreed to finally cover it. It still cost me 1,500$ out of pocket. This was so worth it, I wish I would have saved and done it earlier. This was a couple hour surgery in the hospital and when I woke up I was ready to go home. They gave me some type of ointment to put on it but wanted me to discontinue all ointment after a week. They said my scar would be less noticeable if I left it alone. I did even though it just didnt feel right with all the scar creams out there now. I asked him and his staff multiple times but they insisted this was for the best. Leave it alone after a week.

You look around 15 years younger!!! It’s amazing how without the hooding on your upper lids can make such an impact on your face. Did you loose weight too? Your face looks thinner! You are very attractive and now have beautiful eyes to go with it!!! Congrats!

Actually not that much weight but I think growing out my hair helped and I did a halo laser. Huge improvement after that. Worth the money also.

It's a deep peel laser about 500$ on sale but it really helped

How often do you get it done? Is it painful?

Once a year and I have found it is the best money spent so far

Not painful but annoying because your skin really peels and iches. You have to not peel it yourself and let it peel naturally.

Day of Surgery

It was very easy. I had my mother drive me to the hospital and The anesthesiologist came talked to us and then the doctor came and gave a run down of what would happen. They put meds in my IV and a couple hours later I woke up and was ready to go home.

Day 2 after surgery

Today I woke up and there was a lot more redness and the eyes were pretty swollen. I just put that salve on my eyelids and watched movies all day. Good thing no one is seeing me and I've taken ten days off of work.
