Before I had children, my breasts were a comfortable 32D. Now after 3 children they have left me, and I would be at a small 32A if not a 32AA. (Depends on bra brand) I have been researching breast augmentation surgery for the last 3 years now, but it wasn't until 3 weeks ago that I really had that moment where I absolutely KNEW I was getting it done. I made a few consultation appointments. 3 to be exact. The first was okay, it was a doctor that I just didn't feel I meshed with, so I anticipated the next appointment. My second appointment the doctor asks what size I want, and after I tell them my ideal after cup size, he tells me I'm too small and there is no way. (I only wanted a D) so on to the third appointment. I went to see Dr. Grawe in Columbus. Upon entering her office, her staff was very friendly and helpful. They took my photos for 3D imaging, and then I met Dr Grawe. She was very down to earth and easy to talk to. She answered all my questions, and didn't think that my ideal size was too large. She explained how I still had what looks like excess skin from having larger breasts and that they will fill out nicely. She didn't had the same incision spot in mind that I wanted and the same placement of the implant. A big plus was that she didn't try to talk me out of saline and into silicone, she understood that since I am paranoid about the possibility of leaking, I would worry too much and that saline was the better option for me to be truly happy and not be constantly paranoid. I was immediately sold, I went in knowing I wanted the procedure and I had just found my doctor. I was so happy. I explained I wanted to schedule the procedure as soon as possible, and they asked me what day I had in mind! I told them April 11, 2014, and after looking they had a slot, at 7:30 in the morning. I grabbed it. So my consultation then turned into my pre-op appointment. I was then brought the sizers, and allowed to try them on, this was interesting for me, I had my best friend along so they were able to help out. My dr advised me not to look at the size when choosing but to put in a size and if I liked the look then to look at size. So I went this route. I initially thought that I would choose 459-500cc. I was wrong, after trying the sizers I came to love the look of 675cc, so that is what I decided upon. Sadly, I'm not sure what cup this will make me but I'm guessing around a D to a DD. Since my surgery date was so soon I signed all my consent forms and was given my prescriptions for after surgery. Also, payment was made in full since it was a little under two weeks until the day. I was advised to start eating a protein filled diet with atleast 100g of protein a day until surgery and for two weeks after. They even have me a cheat sheet of protein rich foods. They also told me to stop taking all medication I was taking such as my birth control and ibuprofen. I was also told I needed to make an appointment to get a surgery clearance exam which I was able to make with a dr two days later.( today the 3rd actually) they also gave me copies of my consents, and another cheat sheet for my medication telling me dosage and time of day to take it. So now it's a waiting game. Lastly here are my stats to help you envision the whole picture. I am 30 years old, 5'0" and 92lbs. I am starting at around a small 32A. I am getting 675cc saline implants, my incision will be in my mammary fold, and the implants will be completely sub muscular. I am so excited and cannot wait to go through this experience.

Buying a post op bra
Snthtcxtc540April 4, 2014
I was a little disgruntled to say the least. I went to the store last night to find a nice supportive post op bra to wear. My doctor said to get a front closing sports bra 1-2 sizes larger than what I normally wear. This made sense initially. I get to the store and I have all these options, first they have your typical small, medium and larges, and those had a zipper front which I was really interested in for the amount of ease after surgery. The others were numerical sizes like 32, 34, 36, etc. so I was standing there thinking well I wear a 32 so they 34 is one size larger right? Well being at a complete loss I bought a medium, a 34, and a 36. I get home and the medium is so loose on the band I think my breasts would fall out of the bottom lol (not really but it was really that loose) and the 34 felt ok. I'm thinking I will just keep all 3 but leave the tags on until my surgery and see what works, when I find what doesn't I will return the others I suppose. On the plus side I bought a cute pair of pajamas to wear home that button down the front, so it wasn't a huge loss.

Ha, I just got some comfy button down pjs too! I had went out and bought some no wire leisure bras from kohls and got large and a couple ones from walmart too. I bought my own surgical bra even though I found out my ps supplies one. At least I can wash one and have the other. But yeah I was confused about what size band to get too, I just got large, lx and a 38 since I'm 36 band now.

Freaking out

Okay, so I keep sitting here looking at all these women's pictures about their cc amount and how their breasts look. I'm so worried that the 675cc will be outrageously huge. My husband says that I tried on the sizers in the office and I loved that size so I shouldn't second guess myself but it is so nerve wrecking. It's now early Sunday morning and surgery is Friday. I keep thinking I'm crazy. I mean I have had D's before my kids and I would be okay with a DD even though I have a petite frame. My dr said since I'm deflated that will pretty much fill before the major changes and I've read that every 200cc is about a cup size so really if I sit and do the math if I'm a small A possibly a AA then it should place me at a D to DD. Ahhh I always second guess myself (I fail my college tests due to this, my professors started giving me essays instead) so am I overreacting? So nervous lol I wonder if anyone else worries about this.

That is a big size since you are so tiny, but I think it will be fine! I'm so jealous that you have such an awesome PS lol. Mine was horrible and I should have gone to someone else because I never even got to see or try on implants before the surgery and now I am steaming mad about the cc amount I was given. Anyway, enough about me, I've read that almost everyone wishes they had gone bigger so you will be fine I'm sure :)
