I have dark spots (hyperpigmentation) caused by years of sun damage and now that I'm getting up in years, age spots, as well.
I read about IPL and decided to get it. Asia, the nice lady, who performed the procedure was very informative and explained each step. The laser felt like rubber band snaps, but it was tolerable. After each side, she'd roll a large ball of ice to cool the burning sensation. Right after the IPL, my face looked and felt like a really intense sunburn. This lasted lasted about 1 1/2 hours. I drove him and watched tv and fell asleep. The next morning I looked horrible, as you can see from my day 1 photo post-IPL. I was slightly swollen also. I think the first 3-days were when I looked the worse, but felt fine. It took a full 7 days before I saw the full results and I'm very satisfied with the results.
I purchased 3 IPL's total. I'm happy with my first session. I'll have my second session in a couple weeks and I'm really looking forward to seeing even more positive results.

You look wonderful. Remember to wear sunscreen everyday including the winter months because it is very simple to reverse the accomplishments you made. Also, I wouldn't do anymore lasers because unfortunately to many of them or settings that were to high can cause some serious damage. Damage that cannot be corrected. Please research IPL damage to understand this warning.

BTW: I'm a victim of Fraxel damage and I have a friend that is a victim of IPL damage. Each of us had gone to Cosmetic surgeons and paid top dollar. These machines ruin healthy skin cells in the long run. So count your blessings that you had a successful outcome and stop doing it before you have big regrets.

Lovely! You look great! I've had multiple IPL sessions and each time have had great results. Each time improves upon the last. I noticed that some commenters have posted warnings and I'm sure there have been some people who experienced negative results. Everyone reacts to procedures differently so be cautious but not frightened. Me personally, I've seen pigmented spots and spider veins disappear, and wrinkles lessened and skin tightened. Use sunscreen! Use sunscreen! USE SUNSCREEN! Wishing you continued great results!

Hello - I am thinking about getting IPL, too. Can you tell me the name of the clinic you went to?
