This product has changed my look. My other eye is sunken and i can feel pressure in it. I stopped using it for 2 months and that eye doesnt look like its getting better!! My friends were asking do I ever sleep because i had these horrible red/dark circles around my eyes... I thought I was just working a lot and wanted to keep using it because of the long lashes...

I had horrible itching after 4 months of using but ignored it and kept using the product, after 8 months my right eye started to feel weird and i could barely use contacts in it. I was just thinking that my contacts feels weird like they sometimes do. But even when i didnt wear them I had a feeling there is a trash in my eye. My friends told me to stop using it and I listened their advice. Now after 2 months of not using my eyes are still waterish, I blink constantly and i have this weird feeling specially in my right eye which is still sunken. I went to doctor and he said that there is nothing in my eye. I insisted to send me to eyedoctor which will be in 2 weeks. I cant wear contacts, or make-up anymore. I really hope this is just a period and it takes time to heal. Im so sad and I look constantly like I have cried because of those red circles... Im going to change to natural beauty and i recommend it for everyone. We dont know how these products will affect us now, or in the future. Use less instagram, watch less tv, dont believe those beauty role models we have at the moment, they are not real. And when you try to change your looks with chemicals etc its kind of sad. Be happy how you look, chemical products will just make you uglier.

Yes, prostaglandins (Latisse/Lumigan) can dry out the eye. It can also be a sign of an allergic reaction (I have to take another prostaglandin for glaucoma (travatan)) to the preservative. Don’t take glaucoma med until you need it in your later years. Hope all goes well at the ophthalmologists...
November 14, 2017
Thank you. I think I had a strong allergic reaction and I just kept using the product. Doctor said i have dry eyes, nothing else. Also he said my eye muscles are very tired.

I have to take a prostaglandin (travatan) like Latisse (The original strength of Lumigan for glaucoma) for glaucoma. Yes, side effects are longer lashes, but periorbital fat loss, sunken eyes, raccoon eyes, red eyes are other side effects. If you stop using it, it shouldn’t be permanent. If it continues, if go to an ophthalmologist. Latisse is just repackaged and more expensive glaucoma med. Travatan also gives me puffy eyes. And Allergan made .03% Lumigan, for glaucoma, with a preservative that is not allowed in the EU. They reserved the original Lumigan strength to market as Latisse...it’s a money machine.
November 14, 2017
I hope its not permanent, cause I havent used it for almost 4 months and I still have dry eyes, raccoon eyes and sunken eye, right one got hurt more. It is a money machine and these side effects are not mentioned on the package!! Such a scam. People are cruel.
November 14, 2017
Allergan states it’s not permanent...that’s what they tell docs, that’s what docs tell us...but I spoke to an ophthalmologist plastic surgeon who said it could be permanent, and the ophthalmologist my dude works for says eye color changes are permanent (if you happened to get Latisse in your eye). There are people here who say they had to get a fat transfer to their eyes (what the ophthalmologist plastic surgeon also said to me) you might want to wait a while, then consult with a good plastic surgeon who specializes in Eyes. If you don’t feel they are honest with you, go to another. The one I spoke to thought it was most likely permanent.
November 14, 2017
Yes, we are test animals. They can't know is it permanent or not. Not enough people have used it for a longer time. This sucks balls. Im just gonna go all natural, def not touching my eyes more with plastic surgeon etc. I have to go with what i have now. And I dont want to give any more pennies to this shitty industry called plastic surgeon. So you said you have puffy eyes, do they hurt or can you feel pressure in your eyes and kind of a head ache but in your eye?
January 5, 2018
Do you use eye drops for the dryness? You can’t just leave it like that. & if anything I’d recommend fillers for under eye not a fat transfer. I’d also recommend moisturizer & a eye cream. Try something
January 5, 2018
Yes yes. Ofcourse. Already eye drops all the time for 4 months. All kind of different eyedrops, antibiotics, creams, eye creams, moisturizers, oils. Nothing seems to help. My doctor said I need to wait same amount as I used the product. So 4 months to go.

I have to say, more of the upscale plastic surgeons are using fat transfer around here. It’s more ‘natural’ and more permanent. Also, there have been some adverse affects with fillers...I’m allergic to everything and wouldn’t trust a filler especially around the eyes. One doc even had a pic where the filler created a hole in her cheek. Another doc saw that and said they were not going to inject at that area anymore. She didn’t know that could happen...maybe to very few, or rare, but it could happen. Anyways, I have a lot of fat in other places I’d rather have on my face

I use BioTears capsules for dry eyes (recommended by my endocrinologist and ophthalmologist).

I too was on Latisse for about a year. At first I loved it! Then I started noticing pronounced wrinkles under my eyes and I just looked tired all the time. I didn't connect it to the lattise until months later. I now have a cyst on one of my eyes from severe and chronic dry eye I have dark circles under my eyes and they are definitely more sunken and hollow. I wish I would have known about these side effects before trying Lattise. And why isn't peri-orbital fat loss eve listed and a known and common side effect? Shame on Allergan for not updating the known complications and side effects of this product!
November 14, 2017
Sounds familiar. I was also asked do I ever sleep. I just thought I worked a lot.. Oh my god you have a cyst, im afraid I have it too. How do you know it is a cyst and how can you fix it?
November 14, 2017
I have went to see eyedoctor already 3 times and they said they dont see anything there except dryness, but I can feel there is something in my eye still. I can feel the pressure. After 4 months not using the product, it must be permanent... Im sure this product wont be legal in the future and we should act on this and demand damage compensation. This is ridicilous and I dont want more people experience this.
November 14, 2017
Btw how long is it that you havent use the product? I heard from some people it takes about a year that those dark circles dissappear.
November 14, 2017
The cyst looked like a tiny blister on my eyeball. I noticed it when looking in a magnified mirror while putting on eye makeup one morning. Luckily they are no "dangerous" and 90% of the time go away on their own. It's basically like a "callous" on the eye from the friction caused by dry eyes.
November 14, 2017
BTW with chronic dry eye... you will feel like you have sand or grit or something else in your eyes. There in fact isn't anything actually in your eyes, but the lack of lubrication makes it feel this way. Systane, or other eye drops specifically made for dry eye does help me. There are also prescription eye drops available to treat dry eye. If you are not happy with your eye doctor, I would most definitely find another doctor. They are our eyes after all, nothing to mess around with.
November 14, 2017
I stopped using the Latisse around 3 months ago. I have noticed a SLIGHT improvement in my dark circles and "tired look". Sadly, the sunken look has not improved at all. I too have read that it can take up to a year for things to improve. It makes me sad. If I had known about these possible side effects I would have never used this product.
November 14, 2017
Okay i dont have this blister. But just sunken and it feels irritated. Im sad to hear this. But im sure it will go away!! Try not to use any products in your eyes and wash them only with water. I havent used make-up in 3 months, just few times little bit of light pen and mascara. But felt irritated immidiately...
November 14, 2017
Im happy to hear you have improvement. Me aswell, little bit. Is your both eyes sunken? Also you might think it looks way worse then it actually looks. Thats anyways how I feel atm. My friends say it doesnt look bad, but when they look old pictures they can also see the change. Its so annoying to have red circles around eyes, looks all the time like I have cried. And cant even use any make-up to cover it. But whatever, I just wish my eyes will be fine and healthy and this product didnt do any damage...

Where did you read? Have the same problem and more than one year and still have same sunken look
November 13, 2017
The same thing happened to me. Are you lower lids getting better now???
November 14, 2017
Oh my god im sorry to hear... Is it only in one of your eyes or both?? Its in my upper lid, right eye. Its not getting better i dont see any change. Expect im using these very highly moisturizing eyedrops and I dont feel that horrible pain anymore. But its still sunken and i can feel its kind of heavy... Doctors wont find anything...
December 2, 2017
What did your dr say about this problem?
December 12, 2017
Well, I went for different doctors, and they had different opinions. Most of them werent interested about this product, and was thinking that its nothing. When I finally went to proper eyedoctor, who spoke my language and was ready to listen, she found the reason.
December 12, 2017
They use same ingredient in these lash products as they use in glaucoma medicine. So, side effects of glaucoma medicine is raccoon eyes, swallen eyes, hollownes, lashes growing all around your eyes, can even grow under your eye lids. Also darkness around your eyes, dry eyes and irritation. These are normal side effects from the glaucoma medicine, and these side effects are not mentioned in the lash product. My eyedoctor said that these effects of glaucoma medicine are permanent after 8 years of use normally. And if you used only short term, it takes to recover about the same time as you used the product. For my case, she said there is eyelashes growing in places they are not supposed to grow, so it irritates and scratches my eye surface, which makes me blink constantly. She said we have to wait them to grow out, and if they dont we will have to burn them out with a certain machine. She couldnt reply to all my symptons, because this is a new product. But she said that rather use fake lashes then this product. She was also confused how they can sell this product.
