3 weeks post vaser lipo
WORTH IT
These pics were just over 3 weeks post-op and I couldn't be happier with the results! I don't think the pictures even do it justice! Plus the marks from the foam vest don't help...
In all honesty it hasn't been an easy recovery - I believe I have quite a high tolerance to pain but I have really struggled to deal with it all. That said, the results make it all worthwhile. At this point I was still experiencing a lot of swelling and lumpiness, and was still sore and tender with the occasional strange 'tearing' sensation, but it gets better every day.
One thing I cannot recommend highly enough after having this procedure done is Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage. It speeds up your results, eases pain, helps with swelling and lumps and just generally makes you feel a million times better! Your surgeon should be able to recommend a registered professional (DO NOT go to beauty therapists claiming to do the treatment unless they are registered with MLDUK). I personally have been going to Sue Levine in Highgate and she is beyond incredible. If you get stuck for someone to go to, visit www.mlduk.org.uk for registered professionals in your area.

After a long-term injury I gained weight as I was unable to exercise. When I was able to get back to normal, healthy diet and exercise, after such a long period of inactivity I was left with fatty areas that just would not budge. I had always naturally been a slim size 8, so my confidence took a considerable blow. I started looking into surgical options and determined that vaser liposuction would be the most appropriate procedure to address my body concerns.
Absolutely, without a doubt the best thing I have ever done. When I saw my results properly for the first time at 6 days post-op I was awestruck. I actually cried with the shock and joy of it all - I didn't realise that body was in there! And to think that the results will just get better and better is mind blowing.
I cannot thank Mr Frati enough for what he has done for me - he has absolutely changed my life and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He's an artist! And perhaps a little bit of a god/miracle worker...

Wow you are looking fantastic! Please keep us updated on how the rest of your healing goes. How long do you have to wear the lovely CG?
Thanks so much Jill! I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. Another 3-4 weeks in the compression garment. I'm not unhappy about it though as it's really comfortable!
I'm glad it is comfortable!
Hi there, congratulations and happy new year! Did you have flanks done? ☺
Hiya, thanks so much and a very happy New Year to you too! I did have my flanks done - upper and lower abdomen, flanks and bra roll.
Your results look fab, I had stomach, flanks and inner thighs and then a flank revision in august but my results aren't great...happy healing!!x
I'm so sorry to hear that, it must be so frustrating after such a big investment both pain and money-wise! As I mentioned in my review, Mr Frati has done an incredible job for me and I honestly cannot recommend him highly enough. I'm not sure how it all works in terms of second opinions and revisions but if there's any way you could get in to see him he's amazing! I believe he's up in Manchester sometimes too xx
You look amazing!! I'm considering Dr. frati now too. How has the recovery been? No issues? This would be my first cosmetic surgery so I'm overly cautious
Thanks so much! I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. I have to be honest and say that recovery has been tough, it has been a lot more uncomfortable than I thought it'd be. That said, I haven't had any issues, it is 100 percent worth it and if you're thinking of having this procedure done I can't recommend Mr Frati highly enough. Totally understand why you would be nervous, but Mr Frati would take excellent care of you! I went privately with him - really glad I did it that way. If you have any other questions at all just let me know!
Hi!! Another few questions, how long before you could go out in public without getting spotted? When could you get back to work? How do things look now? How long does the intense pain last? Thanks so much for your insight!!!
Of course, happy to help :)
1. I had 3 drains (as in tubes coming out of my incisions with bottles at the end of them!) for the first 6 days so wasn't out in public during that time. That said, I understand the use of drains varies from surgeon to surgeon and it also depends on how much you have removed. I had a lot removed so therefore had a lot of drainage. Many people on here seem to have been out and about after a couple of days though for more minor treatment.
2. I deliberately did it over Christmas when I had 2 weeks off...and I'm so happy I did! I was utterly miserable for the first week at least and don't think I could have managed to be at work. Once again, that said I did have a lot removed and quite a few areas done. I would say the "back at work in a few days" pitch would only be for those who have a high pain threshold and/or had only a little removed/fewer areas done.
3. For me it was about 2 weeks. Then it was more discomfort with occasional pain than anything. I'm 5 weeks in now and still experiencing a fair bit of nerve pain and discomfort, but it's getting better every day. I can't recommend Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage highly enough - it speeds recovery, helps with drainage, lumps and swelling, and generally makes you feel worlds better! Your surgeon should be able to recommend a qualified specialist - Mr Frati certainly will if you go to him. If you go to a different surgeon and they don't recommend someone, just make sure you go to a properly registered professional and not just someone in a beauty salon saying they do this treatment! I went to Sue Levine who has her own clinic in Highgate (possibly the loveliest, kindest, most sympathetic and caring woman ever!) but if you're really stuck you can find a registered professional in your area at www.mlduk.org.uk
4. Finally, despite all the pain and discomfort and the annoyances of recovery, the one thing I would say is that it's 110% worth it - I'm over the moon with my results and sooooo thankful that I went to Mr Frati. He really is the best! I'll upload some more photos, but I more regularly update my Instagram if you'd like to follow me - @vaser.lipo.girl
Any other questions just give me a shout! x

I'm considering booking in with Mr Frati too! So nervous but excited at the same time. Can you tell me how many MLD sessions you've had and how soon after the treatment did you start? There are so many conflicting stories on this...
Thanks so much.
Thanks so much.
How exciting! He's the absolute best :) I've had 7 sessions so far and will likely go for another 3 - the MLD practitioner will let you know how many you need as it depends on how much work you've had done. It's such an important part of recovery and so you should definitely include it in your budget :) I started a few days after the procedure, but Mr Frati will advise you on when to start dependent on what you've had done. And he'll also recommend a licensed practitioner (so important as lots of beauty salons advertise it - often for cheaper - but they are not qualified to do it post-surgery). If you have any other questions just give me a shout!
Hello there! What incredible results! you must be over the moon. do you mind saying the practice the dr works for and the price it cost you? xx
Hi there! I'm so happy with my results, Mr Frati is an artist!
I went through his private practice - here's his website http://www.fraticosmeticsurgery.co.uk/
The best thing to do is to book a consultation with him - he'll be able to give you a price. There are so many factors that influence it including volume of fat removed, areas done, time needed, anaesthetic type etc xx
