Long time since last post...........

I've not posted for a while and am now a tad over five months post op. I must say I look and feel much slimmer and will post some more pics soon so you can all see. I'm still not completely flat and wear some sort of compression 24/7 only because it does make me look and feel better in myself (sometimes up to three items of compression at the same time lol) you wouldn't believe the amount of different compression/slimming garments I have. Knickers, vests, girdles, slips etc. The girdles I'm using are great because they have bones that help with the contouring, the only problem is they do push the boobs up and they make the bones of bras dig in under the arms so I've invested in some boneless bras. I will take some more pictures and post them on here soon. Take care everyone and happy healing.

8 weeks post

Well, been back from Cyprus for a week now and it's just sooooo cold. I'm not a winter person. I've stopped wearing my original PG now. I couldn't wear it on holiday and when I got back and put it on I could hardly breath so took it off. I've ordered some different ones from the same place because spanx just don't hold/push me in enough. Either I'm still swollen or this is as good as it's gets and I need something to hold it all in. It is definitely smaller but still not small enough. I can make it flatter if I hold it in, maybe I now just need to strengthen my mussels some more. I will add some more recent pics soon.

5 week post op with clothes

It's been 5 weeks today since my tummy tuck surgery with MR and lipo of the flanks and on the whole I'm feeling pretty good. I like the mornings best because that's when my tummy looks at it's best. I've just been wearing the hospital stretchy/Velcro binder that goes around my waist at night. It curls up during the night so is sitting on my hips so in the morning my waist and hips look much more defined. Before surgery I didn't have a waist or hips my sides were completely straight with a football sticking out at the front. Trouble is during the day that all wears off and it's not looking so good. I should have got a shot without clothes this morning. I will try and do that in a couple of weeks after my holiday. I will be happy if by the end of the healing process I look like this all the time and not just first thing in the morning.

My surgeon and all his team were wonderful and always there at the end of the phone if I needed anything. The aftercare follow up so far has been excellent. I understand I have to follow up every week for the first six weeks. I'm not to sure yet how often after that but I'm sure he will want to keep a check on how things are progressing at least for the first year anyway. I didn't have to wait long for my tummy tuck from first seeing my surgeon. I first saw him in July and my TT was in September. The only reason I had to wait was because in July I was a smoker and he said because of possible complications he wouldn't operate until I had given up smoking for 10 to 12 weeks. Because I hated my big round belly so much and because I wanted this so much I did give up smoking but I still have to continue not smoking for at leas another further 3 months after the op. I'm so glad I chose the surgeon I did because I believe there are others out there that might not have advised me to stop smoking and just taken my money regardless.
