I'm a 23 year old student from London. I had extensively researched into surgeons for rhinoplasty as it is a life changing procedure - I obviously wanted to be sure of who I chose. After reading countless reviews I had decided that Mr Tahery would be that surgeon. I loved his work and after traveling to Chester for a consultation, it was evident that alongside his kind and professional manner, he was very confident in his field of work and had many happy patients to show for his skill.
On the day of my surgery, I was nervous. I was shown around my room by nurses. The anesthetist visited me and explained what would happen prior to the surgery. Mr Tahery also visited me, went through things we discussed in the consultation. I was happy and ready to go.
Once I came out of surgery, I thought I was dreaming. It was quite a surreal experience. The anesthetist (who was extremely lovely and really put me at ease throughout my experience) visited me. He told me everything went well - I just bled more than the average patient. Mr Tahery then visited me and also told me all went well. He would come to see me tomorrow morning before I left for London.
My stay at Nuffield Health Chester was lovely. All the staff were absolutely amazing.
I stopped taking pain killers after Day 1. I didn't experience any pain to be honest. I stayed at home and followed Mr Tahery's instructions regarding after care. I returned to Chester after 6 days to have my cast removed. Everything went well and my new nose was revealed to me for the first time! I didn't know what to think at first. It was extremely swollen. He covered it with steri-strips, which I was allowed to remove a week later at home.
A week later I removed the strips. Having quite an impatient personality, I was worried about how big my nose was. A few days went by and the swelling had reduced dramatically. I was so pleased! As the swelling goes down day by day, the more and more I absolutely love my new nose. I show friends photos and they are so impressed by how natural it looks, which is exactly what I wanted.
14 days post surgery I decided to clean my nose with a Q tip. This wasn't Mr Taherys instructions, however I had read on some reviews that this method is one that could be used to clean the nose. I have never been more regretful. I inserted the Q tip and instantly started to bleed. It wasn't a nose bleed I could control. Blood was pouring down my throat and coming out of my other nostril. I reached out to Mr Taherys secretary, Tessa. She told me Mr Tahery would call me very soon. The blood started to clot at my nostril at this point, which had stopped it from coming out. Mr Tahery face timed me as soon as he could and put my mind to rest, told me not to touch my nose with a Q tip at all and to leave the clot alone.
I am currently 16 days post op. I have a huge dry blood clot blocking my right nostril. However, as the days go by and my swelling decreases, the more and more happy I feel and the more and more I realise what a great decision I made by going with Mr Tahery. He is a true artist in his specialist field and has absolutely changed my life! I couldn't be more greatful. It is still early days, but I am sure it will only get better. I have a follow up appointment with him at the end of this month. So I will update this when there is an update.

Knows exactly what he's doing and is very confident with his work - which puts your mind at ease. A true artist. I love how much nose looks every day now. It is changing slightly every day because of the swelling is decreasing day by day. I only have good things to say about Mr Tahery!
