Cryo Lipo, Fat Freezing, Lipo Freeze Treatment Has Shrunk my Thighs and Tummy!! - United Kingdom, GB

I visited Ice Body Sculpting in Cardiff in January. After a xmas of over eating I felt I needed some help to sculpt away some excess fat in certain areas. I visit the gym a few times a week, and eat a healthy diet, but as I get older I have found it harder to reduce my problem areas, especially since I having had my children. I did a lot of research before I chose a clinic, as I didn't want to waste my time or money (I had looked into liposuction, but didn't fancy the pain or downtime so looked for an alternative).

I chose Ice Body Sculpting in Wales, Cardiff, as they had some excellent reviews and a range of before and after photos from their clients. They are about 2 hours from London, but I was happy to make the journey for their expertise. I had a long telephone conversation with an informative and helpful lady who explained the procedure, pros and cons and I decided to book an appointment. They use a generic machine, and have good pricing as they aren't governed by a bigger brand like coolsculpting. I was given more information than most of the other places that I had spoken to about cryogenic lipolysis, and liked their general manner. I was assured there would be no downtime and I'd be comfortable on my journey home.

On the day of my visit I travelled by train, a pleasant journey from central London which took just under 2 hours. At the clinic I was greeted by the manager. The clinic was clean and private, and I was made to feel at ease. I had a consultation, where we spoke about what I was wanting to achieve, I had some photos and measurements taken, and the cryolipolysis / fat freezing process was explain again to me. The treatment itself was far more pleasant than I expected it to be. I had been told it was pain free, but I was still expecting it to hurt, even though its not technically surgery, to my surprise it was totally pain free. The Cryotherapy technician told me they had chosen the particular cryo lipo brand for its comfort, and that it doesn't tend to leave any bruising. I had my thighs and stomach treated and I can confirm I had no bruising or discomfort during or after the treatment at all. I was given after care instructions to limit alcohol intake, increase water and eat a healthy diet and to contact them clinic if I had any other questions. I then went shopping in Cardiff, which was also a lovely city.

I started to notice changes about 3 weeks after the treatment. It was clear that the cryogenic lipo was really starting to freeze my fat away! It was difficult to be patient, but given that even with liposuction I would have had to wait for swelling to subside, I was pleased that I wasn't having to go through any of that. 4 months post fat freezing, I revisited the clinic to have some skin tags removed, and I was rephotographed (you can see my thigh before and after below). I had lost around 2 inches from each thigh, and just under 4 inches of tummy fat.

For me, I felt that liposuction was a step too far, to get rid of belly fat and as non surgical fat reduction options go, this one ticked all the boxes for me.

It was money well spent and I will highly recommend the treatment and this clinic.
