had chin implant and rhinoplasty on 11 April. 2 weeks later amazed with nose but hated the chin! the caused severe discomfort, looked masculine and large and also appeared to be flat on my face.. not what I was hoping for at all :( I was distraught and couldn't leave the house let alone go back to work. I couldn't eat or sleep and felt nauseous constantly. thankfully I was quickly given an appointment to remove the implant after lots of crying down the phone (exactly 2 weeks after having it put in) I am hoping that my chin will go back to normal quickly as I didn't have it in for long and I am very young. I would advise anyone thinking of getting a chin implant to reconsider.. it was the biggest mistake of my life! it looked and felt so unnatural (like a hard block on your chin that you can feel moving when your face moves) in hindsight I wish I only got the nose and left my chin as I have wasted around £5000 or more on having it put in and then removed :( ON THE OTHER HAND.. very happy with the nose.. exactly what I wanted. a natural look with not too much of a difference although the surgeon said it is still swollen so looking forward to seeing final result!

I met up with my surgeon a few times before surgery and he was great. answered any questions, made me feel comfortable and went through sizing with me ect. (I did ask for/would of liked a computerised image but was told this would cost money and take time) I was also given lots of follow up appointments which is great. the surgeon removed my cast and plaster and remaining stitches after 10 days and talked me through the swelling and told me to get a head garment (these take 2-5 days with standard delivery and are £40.. should I not of been told before and should this not be included in the price?) over the next few days I felt overjoyed with my new nose but very let down with the chin.. I hated it! I booked a consultation with the surgeon for a weeks time but as the days went on decided I couldn't wait that long and that I definitely wanted the chin implant out. I got in contact with the company and the staff were very good at replying ect but I was told the surgeon could be fully booked for another month or so. the thought of another month with the implant in my face almost made me throw up, I was in histerics down the phone. that would mean a month off work and not being able to leave the house plus even more time after getting it removed in order to recover again! the lady on the phone could hear my distress and said she would contact the surgeon and get back to me. AMAZINGLY she called back and booked me in to get it removed the same night (tonight as I wrire this) I had to pay another £1000 for hospital fee and £1100 for removal.. which is a shame as I saved up so long for this surgery and it's more money I don't have that I owe. but having said that, you live and you learn and I am just glad to have the alien material out of my face and REALLY HOPING my chin will go back to normal soon.
