First tray !

Hello everyone~ After 3 weeks of wait, today I had my appointment with Mr. Rahmani. He helped me put my first set of trays on. He was very understanding and told me not to push myself too much for the first two days. He told me to take them off if they give me too much discomfort within these 2 days and put them on once things feel a bit better. From 3rd day however, it's going to be 22 hours of course ~ Also, you know the tiny gaps you might have between your teeth and the tray ? He gave me a chewing toy to use for bites for the trays to fit better on my teeth day by day ! He told me chew on it while watching tv, etc. :))) I share the picture of that thing with you as well. I have a tiny lisp and excessive saliva for the time being but I feel so positive about this already!

Hello Realself Community, I'm a 28 year old who...

Hello Realself Community,

I'm a 28 year old who decided to go through the Invisalign journey. This is the biggest investment I've done for myself so far. So I am very very excited !

When I was 13, I started wearing metal braces as every other teenager. I received my treatment in Istanbul where I originally am from. My upper canines had no room up there, hence why I needed to wear them for 5 years, until the 2nd year of university. At the end of my treatment, I was given some retainers to wear, however I couldn't care less as a 18 yr old who finally got rid of those metal things in my mouth and plus suffering 2 weeks of severe pneumonia a few months after that, I could never fit them retainers in my mouth again anyways... And little by little, my teeth had become what you see in the pictures I shared. Although I said "never again" to myself so many times, here I am 10 years later, going at it with all the awareness an adult has about an issue that is way more than just the aesthetics.

I've been to my ClinCheck appointment last Thursday at Perfect Smile Battersea, so I'm looking forward to see my videos very soon!

Please support me throughout this journey, as I really would appreciate it.

Sorry about the shortness of this post, but it's a brief summary for now. I'll make sure to keep posting about any updates in the future.

Thanks for reading~
