I have finally booked my surgery for Breast...

I have finally booked my surgery for Breast Implants and Rhinoplasty on 17th October 2015! I am having it done at Spire Elland Hospital which is local to me and only a 15 minute car journey from where I live.

I am hoping to have 325cc under the muscle, mentor implants and Rhinoplasty at the same time to remove the bump at the top of my nose - people often asked if I have broken it... I haven't.

I have read many helpful reviews on here so I thought I would also write my own as there are less reviews for Breast Implants and Rhinoplasty at the same time, I have chosen to do them together as I dislike being put under anaesthetic and so it seemed the best option for me. I am also fit and healthy and so it seems like no extra risk to do this together, along with the fact that both procedures require you to sleep upright on your back.

I have uploaded some before pictures and I will post the day before, the day and my recovery.

Pre Op and final doctors appointment - surgery tomorrow!

I had my pre - op assessment on Wednesday 14th October, this was quite straight forward and the nurse was very nice which was reassuring. She answered a few questions that I still had but told me to ask on Thursday 15th at the final doctors appointment although she had already put my mind at rest, I wanted to know if they would use packing up my nose, if drains would be used and about my plan to gradually return to work 10 days later.

Thursday 16th October after my final assessment with my doctor we have decided to go for either 325cc high profile unders or 300cc high profile unders he has said he will decide on the day, the implant company is Mentor. He looked again at my nose which he mentioned was unusual as the bone has stopped and made it look square, I did have a slight trauma to my nose when I was younger and he said it could be something to do with that. He will not be touching the tip of my nose as I was happy with it. I then signed some consent forms and he answered a few more questions which I had asked the nurse the night previous.

I am quite nervous at the moment! I am looking forward to seeing the results but I am quite scared of anaesthetic although I will feel better when I have spoken to him before the operation tomorrow.

I am looking forward to posting my results!

Operation Day!

I am now 4 days post op but have only felt human enough to update today so here we go...

Saturday 17th October was the day! I went into hospital at 7am full of nerves with my boyfriend and found out the order of surgery meant that I wasn't going to be in until 12pm - I managed to watch a bit of TV and my surgeon Dr Rhodes came round and drew on me and told me that there was an hour and a half to go, that was when I became fully aware of what I was doing! Up until that point it still hadn't felt real. I was a full mixture of excitement and nerves, it came to walking in to the anaesthesia point which I was the most nervous about! I made sure to let the anaesthetist know how nervous I was about either waking up during surgery or not waking up at all and he told me that in his 26 years of surgery it had never happened and not to worry - he was very helpful and I would recommend anyone nervous about anaesthesia to just talk to their doctor!

3 hours later and I woke up in the recovery room - I was expecting it to take 4 and a half hours! I woke up with a fast heart rate as I had been put to sleep whilst being nervous but this gradually started to come down.

Back in my hospital room an hour or two later my mum and boyfriend came to visit me - I was quite drowsy but it was lovely to see them and it made me feel better, I was quite sore and was only given codeine and paracetamol but in the night I was given a dose of liquid morphine which helped me to sleep. The worst part was how dry my mouth was by far!! The pain was quite hard but manageable.
