Hello, I had fibroblast on the under eye area 12 weeks ago and I have been left with either scars, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation or post inflammatory erythema? I was wondering if anyone else has been left looking this way and how did you resolve it! I am devastated, I have to cover it everyday

Is it better now?

No, still there
May 20, 2018
So sorry hope it gets better you might need laser under your eye to remove the marks

Hi , you should try contacting Belinda at Chamberlain aesthetics, she’s based in Lymm near Warri grin but might come to Liverpool, I wouldn’t trust anybody else. She has a Facebook page and maybe able to help you .xx

Warrington sorry

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. I was also left with very strong marks after mine. I am hoping it will lessen over time. Really feel for you. :( It's awful when you go for a treatment only to find it now looks worse then before you started.

It’s awful! The skin is now that thin that you can actually see an indentation, making them look like big bags! I’m now considering having tear troughs to try and rectify that
May 30, 2018
Yep that's exactly what I'm going to do too! I've heard you can also buy a lightening cream that can help. Not sure if Real self has rules around posting up product links but I found out about it through watching Pixiewoo's tear trough review on youtube and then did some more research on the cream. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nw-_aGG9t4Y&t=563s

Under eye creme with vutamin k will help with any lingering pinkness. But not with the thinned skin. I have thinned inder eye skin with a deep trench after laser so I would not suggest laser under the eyes with your current issue. I pray you get this resolved and then ket us know what worked.

Have you done anything to rectify the thinning? Have your tried tear troughs? I still have the marks!! So stressful!

Update on fibroblast

kate989
Hey guys, so next month I will be a year post treatment, so I thought I’d give an update! The redness has completely gone and the hyperpigmentation has calmed down a lot! As you can see in the latest pic it now just looks like I have dark under eyes, which I never had before! And I can still personally see the outline of where she did it, not sure if you guys can as I’ve had a lot of people comment saying that they can’t tell anymore but I just look tired! Charming! Ha. I tried every remedy I could google, tumeric, lemon juice, Vaseline, honey! And I was having a light chemical peel and microdermabrasion every month and none of it worked!! So in the end I gave up and did nothing but moisturised and found the skin heeled a lot better on its own!! So have faith in your skin, it does get better!

I am so glad to read your review. I am currently experiencing a horrible time with my fibroblast treatment and reading your review gives me hope and helps me feel relieved. Thank god for makeup!

I just had a plasma pen treatment and am 2 weeks in and am so upset. Little red dots all over... looks like a mask and small holes. I am freaking out that it will be permanent and wish I wouldn't have don it. Not what I signed up for-- I am glad to read the latest post on 1 year post treatment

You need to give it time to heal, 2 weeks is still early, I had my whole eye done 1 week ago, I still have slight swelling on eyelid, everyone heals differently. I'm still scabby and still bruised, but you have understand that's its alot of trauma to the skin. Just follow all after care that your therapist gave you, and just be patient for the healing process to take its course.

Had it done around my eyes over a month ago and skin is ruined. Hyperpigmentation, dark spots, skin is distressed, thin, more wrinkled. Looks 10 years older. Stay away from this treatment.

This was exactly like mine!! I just used aloe Vera Vaseline on them every day and every night! After a year they are a lot better so please don’t despair! I won’t lie, my skin is still darker under the eye and very thin making me look tired all the time but it’s only really noticeable to me now! Still knocks my confidence on occasion but I am at the stage where I can go out without putting make up on thank god!! X

I am on an ongoing battle right now. Whoever did your treatment was negligent! Bottom line. Same as me-- I have hyperpigmentation and erythema under my eyes. Reddish brown dots everywhere. Seek consult with a dermatologist or esthetician. I am doing so now. There are treatments to help correct this over time. Peels/ etc. Look up post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and post inflammatory erythema The nurse who did mine is still telling me this is normal and I am healing. It's been almost 4 weeks. She now will not respond to my messages and has not once called or checked in on me. There are people out there who have no business performing this procedure.

Yes, I did lots of research to and believe mine is post inflammatory erythema also as I still have what look like broken capillaries now under my eyes!! Awful!! Let me know what your specialist says? I have had light chemical peels but wouldn’t trust having anything stronger now! I’m scared to do anything Incase it makes it worse! Just give it time, you’ll be amazed at how your skin heels itself x

Thank you Kate--I know the hyperpigmentation and erythema can fade over time. But this should not have happened to us. I have read chemical peels can help as well, but agree that it's scary to do anything more because of what has already happened. Lasers can help, but because it is around the eye area I will not do it. I'm so glad that it has healed for you. My dermatologist has looked at it already and said she believes it will go away in time. I am seeing an esthetician today to see what she recommends to speed up healing. Until then, lots of make up otherwise I look like someone tattooed red dots under my eyes :(

I am happy to say it's 4 1/2 weeks and it looks a bit lighter than before. I did see the nurse who performed my procedure yesterday. I was given a growth serum called Factor 5 to put on to promote healing, cell turnover. I was able to contact the medical device sales rep who sold the pen, and he spoke to the company to ask what product should be used to promote healing. This bottle is $200 retail, but it was given to me. I was also told I could use a vitamin C serum on top and a good SPF is very important.

Also, DO not do any type of peel, etc, until you are fully healed. Many months later. . It is possible for it to fade over time, and good products can help from what I've heard. My little holes have gone away. Thank God! Just left with reddish/brownish dots and they are lighter than previously
