Reviews you can trust, from real people like you.
How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Day 3

I think they are beginning to heal as they are quite itchy. I’ve had some sharp pains in the side of my right breast, nowhere near the incisions but I am due on my period so maybe that’s not helping and I did stretch earlier without thinking so maybe I pulled something. The bruising is still minimal and the incisions are flattening nicely

Day 1 and 2

So far so good, they look awful and my areole seems really small but they are healing nicely. I’m not in too much pain and the bruising is minimal. I figure I can always get tattooed if I’m unhappy with the appearance at the end and it’s not guaranteed I won’t lose my nipples during the mastectomy so I’m grateful I have them for the moment:-)

Uplift

Well it’s been 7 years since my surgery and things did start to go South a little so I knew that when I had them done again I would have to consider an uplift. Except last year I found out I was BRCA2 positive so I’ve chosen to have a nipple sparing mastectomy done over two surgeries and guess what the first stage is an uplift. So I had that yesterday and thought it would be worth posting some pictures as it’s purely cosmetic at this stage. I’ll post a before and update as it heals:-)
